Somebody should point the above out to the RSS and Zakir Naik type officials conducting these ridiculous conversion rituals. I guess that their ego is way too sore to hear another devotee of the Lord address the Lord as Jesus or Allah instead of Ram or Krshna and vice versa. Or is it perhaps their membership fees which will increase if they conduct these conversions?

Yes, and they still remain kids. The fact that they bow towards the east and worship Krshna or that they bow towards the Kaaba and worship Allah or that they cling the cross and worship Jesus is immaterial. I ain't going to embark on some stupid quest to convert/revert them to Hinduism. Let them be happy as they are. All that we require of them is family loyalty. And finally, nobody "disregards" Hinduism in my family. In fact we also have our fair share of bigots in my family who believe that we live in sin by permitting inter-religious marriages. The attitude of the majority of us is that remains their problem, not ours

There are various people in my family including myself who are married to Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs etc. My point is that converting or reverting for the sake of ego or numbers is wrong, irrespective of the religion. How doing something thats within the ambit of law of the land would take us down the path of religious flames? I will agree with you if this was done illegally but I am sorry the main stream media, butthurt editors and other political parties are bringing up these kind of news (keep in mind it didn't started after Modi came to power, it was happening before him too) and twisting the news to present it as if after Modi came all of a sudden such things started happening in India and it will make us a Hindu Pakistan.

There is no twisting or disingenuity on my part. By your own claim, all those who married out of Hinduism in your family did so on the condition of raising their kids non-Hindus. Why would your family accept this condition if they were so secular.

Not just TN, in AP & telangana too.

These missionary scum had a free-run in the entire state of United AP during the time of YSR/Congress. You could even find them abusing Hinduism in the Temple dedicated to Lord Balaji in Tirupathi(Hell, even today you can find them there)

Now due to the bifurcation of AP, the missionaries have been weakened in Telangana. But the %age of their numbers has gone up in AP. [I estimate it to be 15-25% of the population]

But now that a TDP-BJP govt. is in power in AP , there is still hope for the Hindu Dharma in the state

This stems from the view that Muslims are outsiders and do not belong to India and are a foreign religion as are Christians. The bias against them stems from this fact.

I wonder if anyone has noticed whether these people really want to convert or they are forced to do so or are forced in another way, by the payment of money. Surprisingly Hindutvadi fanatics claim that Muslims and Christians use the same techniques to convert Hindus, by paying money.

Now they are doing exactly the same thing. I believe there should be consensus that Muslims and Christians exist and are free to worship their God as they see fit. Instead RSS is in a position to convert thousands who only convert because of the money.

Saffron terrorism is a reality which we must come to accept. I hope Indian government takes action against them.

This is NOT within the ambit of law. This is not propagation by free will, this is conversion by inducement. They aren't any different from those chrstian missionaries who use inducements. I know the whole world and media are up in arms against BJP. It's getting boring now. After Modi came in, things have become easier for them, that's the truth. Why wouldn't it? That is exactly the ideology he represents. Why would RSS affiliates not have more advantage? He comes from RSS and no he really IS an RSS man.
