So BJP or hindu candidates winning in Jammu is hardly surprising.

Yes they moved from valley but about 200 years ago go what is now ajk. I don't disagree with what your saying, only the point that pandits are Kashmiri as well. However if they side with india then they lose that right. Because they are going against what Kashmiris really want and that is independence.

Elections are being held in Kashmir since decades and in recent elections voters turn out was the real difference.

Please don't mind if i am saying this. Pakistan has complicated Kashmir issue by ceding Kashmir land to China without Indian Government nor the Kashmiri people. Pakistan has signed Shimla Agreements but even those agreements are given no importance.
