Study a bit more thoroughly, please. The Arabs (Syria, Jordan, Egypt) had just unified their military commands under Nasser, cut off Israeli navigation in the Red Sea (an act of war) and kicked the U.N. out of the Sinai. Morale was high and Arab radio promised mounds of Jewish skulls upon the ruins of Tel Aviv. It was explicitly meant to be a genocidal war of extermination against the Jews for nothing could withstand a Soviet-style multiple-front armored offensive once it was ready - but the Jews struck the Arabs before this could be fully mobilized.

You are giving too much credit to the Americans, though the Americans eventually were the undeclared political victors after these conflicts as they gained more influence over ex Pro Soviet Arab States, it were the Soviets whom played a crucial role in making the Israelis back off. The Soviets made it clear that they would step in and started to mobilize some of their units, this ensured that Israel accepted the peace proposals even though they were in a position to completely annihilate the Arab Armies.

Coming back to the topic, the Saudis are not dumb enough to fight the Israelis because they know that they cant win. What the Arabs lack overall is discipline and professionalism what the Israelis have. Dont get me wrong, the Arabs are not short of courage to fight on the battlefield, but they simply lack the planning and discipline to land on the battlefield and execute the plans in a professional manner. To put it simply, they lack the discipline to fight a modern war against a well oiled foe such as Israel.

it depends on strategy too,look at HIZBOLLAH,they have no planes,no tanks but katyusha rockets in bulk and anti tank rockets.Crippling a merkava with RPG-7 gives more satisfaction than dropping JDAM over it from the air

you quoted the above historic event (in the clip) and but why you are overlooking the much recent 6 day 1967 thrashing of whole Arabian countries by the Israelis? and since then, no Arab dictator has ever dared to challenge Israel. All these Arab leaders have managed is to kill and subdue their own people exception is Sadam who got bored after killing Kurds & his own Iraqi people for a change of taste made the fatal mistake of attacking American Gas station ( read Kuwait) but you know how he died in the end.

No country in the region has the power, the resources, the technology and level of training as the Israeli air force has, including all Arab, Iran and Pakistan. Dare I say even India cant match it. India might just hold on its own but that would be it. As far as Pakistan, Iran and any Arab country with all their fancy expensive planes are concerned, Israel can do to them all together what Americans did on 2nd of May this year to us. To put it bluntly, burping and farting (the pseudo sense of false supremacy) is good to release trapped gas in the system but it only makes one look like a fool and a laughing stock.

In the end I will repeat what many posters have already said few times. Both Israel and Saudis are American strategic friends and partners and very very close. A war between them is as impossible as a war between Israel and America. Both are highly likely to join forces to attack Aran nuclear installations and wikileaks already has revealed the Saduis directly pleading Americans and Israel( by willing to give air passage) to crush Iranian nuclear program
