Rights activists suggest taking Tipaimukh issue to UN int’l court

Do I need to remind you that even the Christian tribes there hate the BD migrants like anything ? If anything, you two fighting and killing each other will only be advantageous to us.

Go ahead,

How will it be advantageous if all that's happening on your territory?

Mate, ULFA faction fighting against India are finished. If you still think they are worth anything you are only fooling yourself.

Yes, but it's hard to say about the future of the NE.

And do you know what was one of most important demand of the influential ULFA faction that is engaged in peace talks now with the Govt ? - Evacuation of Bangla refugees.

I Google it, and guess what? This post of yours first came up in the results. Some sources would be appreciated.

If you think the Bengali Hindus who suffered an awful lot in 1971 will support you over India...well all the best.

Now, now, let's not flatter ourselves

Two mangoes in one stone. The two potential threats (armed rebellious tribes seeking secession and the illegal migrants) finishing off each other. What have we got to lose ?

Yes, but it's hard to say about the future of the NE.

No, Unlike even the rest of NE, Assam is now well connected into the mainstream India and people who have got a taste of the economic success in rest of India no longer support ULFA or any other separatist group. Why do you think ULFA came to peace talks if it felt it still had support among the people of Assam ?

Same is the case of other states too. Slowly but surely they are integrating into India and we too respect them as equal citizens. Its a win-win situation.

Let's just say I have sources. After all you should be knowing that it was ULFA that indulged in Nellie incident and they claiming the heritage of the Hindu Ahoms have a fat chance of supporting the migrants. Wake up to the reality.

Now, now, let's not flatter ourselves

As I said, if you feel the Hindu Bengalis in Tripura would support a Islamic BD over India, be my guest. Remember we too have a Bengal in our country. The Hindu Bengal.

What have we got to lose? Ever heard of law & order?

Probably with Assam. What about the rest? Otherwise, your government won't be so adamant about the transit through Bangladesh.

No sources, no validity.

Give me one source that says that ULFA wants all ethnic Bengali Muslims out.

I never said that in regards to Tripura. I thought you were referring to BD. In fact, BD does not claim any NE territory whatsoever.

I was talking about the rebellious tribes in the hills who are armed with AK-47s and SLR.

I thought you would be able to understand

BTW there are plenty of North Easterners in this fora. Maybe you could ask them. Or even more in the Arunachal Scouts, Sikkim Scouts, Naga Regiment and Assam Rifles.

Hey mate what about us ?? what is this commotion about N.E India not being part of India or some B.S. Let the BD members say what they wish to. Religion has nothing to do with being part of India .Mizoram is 100% christian and they are patriotic too if you don`t believe me ask Jeje lalpekhlua (if you don`t know him just google )...Bengali is majority population in Tripura and Southern Assam and every where there is this tribal or native population who is the majority.Muslim majority in Assam is just never going to happen .. don`t worry about that.. as for rebel and all that BS lemme give you one good news.. UPDS (a insurgent group from assam) has signed peace treaty with GOI yesterday paving way to peace and prosperity. People went nuts in Karbi anglong district when this was announced. This is the fate of every insurgent group here in N.EThe Sentinel

Ostrich always try to find the answer underneath the sand. You are not the only one who thinks every rebellion are just the work of few rebellious and are different than the main mass.

Excellent so we just lost our Eastern flank and the whole north east is under Bangladesh. Thanks for the update guys :enjoy:

blah blah...whatever's going on in NE India is India's problem...enough derailing...

According to some political scientists, there can possibly be wars over water in the near future.
Will The Next War Be Fought Over Water? : NPR

Let's hope they are wrong.

Now, as far as Bangladesh bringing the matter into the UN International Court is concerned, we can't say if there are any guarantees over the issue. Bangladesh generally had a poor exposure in the arena of international diplomacy. And frankly, I do not expect anything good out of the current government. Especially with that naive and chamcha foreign minister we have now. I can even say that we have very limited negotiating power with a much larger country like India.

But then, let's hope for the best.

Now, what if all else fails? Perhaps Bangladesh can focus on better water management? It's a delta after all with the Bay of Bengal right before it. I understand large scale water management systems are costly, but it can be a viable long term solution. Imagine, every man, woman and child in Bangladesh regardless of rich or poor being able to access clean water through a simple tap? It'd be a tremendous achievement for Bangladesh and probably the world.

I believe an effective water management strategy is crucial for the future of Bangladesh. In fact, I'd say it's a national security imperative. Having fair access to the water coming down from India should also be an imperative at the same time.

Can you give me the latest census figure of Assam, I mean 2011.

. . .
Rohingyas are Burmese.

I think they speak something like Bengalis and look like Bengalis. Anyway, even Bangladesh is reproducing like rabbit, no comment on India. Let see, India would capture Chittagong Hill Track to teach Bangladeshis a lesson, we will keep it as our own "West Bank".

Yeah, you tried that once. And failed miserably. You are welcome to try again though
