I have noticed an interesting trend in USA that a lot of Indian Americans who are in American politics or News are these right wing cooks.

We have Bobby Jindal the Governor of Louisiana, Nikki Haley the Governor of North Carolina, and we have Ramesh Ponnuru another ultra right wing conservative guy and now we have Dinesh D'Souza who recently produced anti-Obama movie and wrote the most stupidest column against Obama.

Can someone please explain this bizarre trend?

Oh well I thought you were talking about me..:D

They are politicians thats why. They are just pleasing their voters.

makes sense, the us is riding high on anti islam, so theres a big gap for indians who are brown but not muslims to ride the wave and promote themselves on this basis, not rocket science.

I never understood these labels.

What is right wing?

Does a person have to be 100% completely right or left or center?

Can he or she not be he or she with a mix of views and positions on different things?

So anyone who supports republicans automatically becomes a right wing extremist & the one who supports democrats becomes a left winger? hmm..

There is nothing extreme or "cooky" about ring wing politics.

I think it's pathetic that people from the looney looney left desperately try to convince people that anything right wing is "extremist"

Right is right and left should be 'left'.

Not all are right wing. Fareed Zakaria is centre-left I think.

It's politics mate. Pure and simple. If global / local events during a certain era require bashing of a particular religion, minority or any other issue which can compel voters to vote for you, then good politicians will milk it.

Simple, was there anything complex in there to understand?

All the people you mentioned comment mostly on domestic issues. The fact is that South Asian culture is conservative, both socially and fiscally, so it's not surprising that it should be reflected in Indian-American personalities.

Also, Dinesh D'Souza has been around for a long time. I used to be quite a fan of him -- maybe still am to some extent.

Dsouza is the only idiot that is runnin with the extreme right wing. Him and the skank Ann Colter are made for each other.
