Reuters: India destroys bunkers at Chumar to end border stand-off

.
All the international media are quoting the same thing, that India demolished the bunkers.

Even the Indian sources being posted on this thread (surprisingly) do not contradict it, if you read the actual articles themselves and not just the headlines.

Concessions might have been made. That is how you resolve issues. However, knowing Indian media and opposition, the concessions made by India are not certainly not big. If they were, the Indian media would have made Indian government life miserable and opposition would have ensured the government is gone for good.

Chinese fell for India chess move here, not only they back tracked, and became silent but also buckled under Indian pressure.

How many straws are you gonna grab before you eventually drown?

Good job China!:china:

What point they made? Chinese were proved to be extremely short sighted. They lost a great opportunity to build good and friendly relationship with India and an given opportunity for country like US to meddle in Asia's affairs. US must be having the last laugh.

Do you think we should have just ignored the construction of fixed posts (bunkers) on the LAC completely, just for some improved economic ties? In violation of our tacit agreement?

Since the Indian government didn't want to take those bunkers down, this was the only choice we had.

And it wasn't an escalation. We used "tents" in response to bunkers, that is not an escalation but rather a very light-handed move.

Given the weak government, India would never have provoked China. Anyway, there are much better ways to resolve issues, neither was the issue life threatening. Incursion into another's territory in not one of them. You seem to not realize what would have happened if both countries have gone to war.

Here come the usual cheerleaders with the poms poms and their @sses in the air.

The chinese leaders are praying and hoping that this does not become a breaking point in the relations and eagerly awaiting Indian FMs visit to sort it out with him and chinese here want to declare victory over a tin shed hahhaha....go ahead and have your lameduck victory.

P.S. But if this is your standard of invasion and intrusion and sense of victory, we dont have to fear the chinese a future supa powa who's twitter population were screaming to teach India a lesson goes back with a tin shed......guess who's having the last laugh LOL.

.
INDIA DIDNT LOOSE ANYTHING BUT CHINA LOOSES EVERYTHING BY THE WAY WE HAVE AGAIN MADE OUR TIN BUNKERS THERE.

Don't you think this is blackmail?

Should Indian foreign policy be run by blackmailing China that, if you don't let us do this or that, we will strain ties and get close to the US?

China did the right thing by highlighting a violation of tacit agreements. The Indian government needs to educate their media about the agreements.

Hey Chinese,

Next time round come with some decent strategy and a game plan, stop acting like school boys and wasting our time and energy.

Mate India is not Blackmailing, India is countering Chinese bullying.

Who made the incursion instead of diplomacy???

India responded in correct way.

I am just eagerly waiting for the modernization of the Indian Armed Forces to get completed!!BTW since I have joined this forum it has appeared to me on several occasions that the Pakistanis are more concerned about the fallout of a war or skirmish between India and China. . . Even the Chinese would not rejoice as much as the Pakistanis if they beat the Indians in a minor skirmish neither would they cry as much as the Pakistanis if the Indians have the upper hand given any situation arises.Pakistan over the years have developed a tendency of depending on other nations with whom they have nothing to do whatsoever other than minor strategic ties and tend to derive a strange pleasure from the fact that "that" other country is doing well compared to India and start whining if it is the other way round.

It is not blackmail, but self interest.

China did the worst thing. These type of actions can easily led to wars. And war between India and China would have created havoc in whole of Asia and the world. Remember half the world population resides in both China and India.
