Your friend is lying because she is a pathan, i wont disclose further . I personally know her when she was student in social sciences department at UOP. Lolx And yes her original name is mehnaz.

That is a possibility.

Wonder ever why there is so much Sindhi, Sindhi, Paktoon, Paktoon, Pashtuns, Muhajir, Urdu-speaking etc, even our PM does say it, Baloch, baloch. once a Punjabi sings just a simple song, people just feel shell-shocked into something racial. Wonder you travel all provinces where actually is the least most racism and togetherness is in Punjab only.
Only a complete bufoon or hypocrite would cite a generlly racially homogeneous area for him as having less racism.
That’s like a pathan saying there is no racism against him in Mardan or a Sindhi saying there is no racism against him in Larkana.

There is no shell shock other than
A. The original singer didn’t cite his origins (unless you want me to find out since I used to keep in touch with him at times)
B. Needing to insert this as an expression of love is also relevant. Plenty of expressions of love going in both before and after marriages in inter ethnic marriages and in most urban office and education environments. The issue of the lack of love is in political delineation along with institutional racism through ethnic manipulation and quotas.

That was funny though:

“I am a Punjabi and I live with ten Punjabis and not one of them was racist to me!”
(Although five of us are Rajpoots and we don’t think those Arains are trustworthy)

The song however isn’t a bad take if not for the video…that and someone should try bibi sheerin as well. The number is played all the times in weddings and needs some update.

She is a singer with many contacts so its easy to call her a girlfriend :woot:, she started singing at the beginning of her studies . So you can imagine how many such people might exist.

Guys lets stop discussing Pakistani woman's personal lives. Rather you should protect and veil them. we should not be discussing about Gul Parhna's likes and dislikes.

Thanks for promoting paktoon's culture. Enjoy the song!

By the way that maa lalora line Hits hard but hate my dirty mind...

In an ideal world it should be - Pushto song by Pakistani singer Ali Zafar. The need to include Punjabi or otherwise just indicates the racial divide and near “look I care” projection this nation continues to suffer from.
Pakistani song sung by Pakistanis in Pakistan, drawing global praise towards Pakistan and Pakistanis.

You people are being oversensitive. Nothing wrong with mentioning name of any ethnic group.

The Ali Zafar regional song featuring Gul Panra and Fortitude Pukhtoon Core, ‘Larsha Pekhawar’ that released in September 2021, has hit 52 million views on YouTube in three months, making it the most watched Pakistani song of the year. The song, which was an immediate hit when it released, is a cover of a Pashto folk song and has been redone with contemporary notes and a fun, uplifting video.

News of the song’s success was shared by Lightingale Records, Ali’s studio, in a celebratory Instagram post.

The song came after the success of ‘Allay’, Ali Zafar’s tribute to the province of Sindh, which he performed with Urooj Fatima and rapper Abid Brohi in 2020.

‘Larsha Pekhawer’ has been directed by Waleed Akram with music by Hassan Badshah and choreography by Sonu Dangerous. In a note on the video, the song is: “Dedicated to my Pashtun brothers and sisters. A tribute to their vibrant culture, values and most of all bravery.”

Ali has been diversifying quite a bit and has been quite busy. ‘Allay’ was released in 2020, followed by a Chinese song that commemorated the 70 year friendship with China and then a K-Pop number for K Pop fans in 2021. He also released an extremely melodic naat, Balaghal Ula Bi Kamaalihi on the occasion of Shab e Miraj in May, which also got astounding response from his fans. He has also sung the title tracks for drama serials Mushk and Pehli Si Mohabbat.

Let’s see what the year 2022 has in store for him.
