punjabis here in uk not all but some will fcuk u over especially if you're mirpuri. gora maas is very liked.

Only the liberal ones.
I'll tell you a hilarious story of auntie Lahori liberal in the UK who hated her fellow Pakistani females from Azad Kashmir and Rawalpindi, as they were too conservative and 'backwards'. She would literally ignore them in the street but loved chatting to her Gorah neighbours and Indian friends.
She had a beautiful daughter who grew up, went to university and one day came back with a nice, strapping Pindi lad who spoke the most hardcore Pahari ever and said to her mum and dad this is the guy I love and want to marry.
Aunti Lahori liberal then found herself having to sit with those 'backward' women, and accept that her precious little daughter will be marrying into them. Her daughter now has two children hahaha.

So when are you giving me a sticky thread on Punjabi language Sir! ?

Whenever you want bro. I can speak many Punjabi dialects.

Well Bollywood is actually promoting Urdu than Punjabi. Punjabis movies made in India these days deserve appreciation though. Bollywood is full of punjabis won't protect punabi ,Pakistan is also full of punjabis infact way more punjabis in Pakistan than India but threat exists when anti Punjabi environment prevails and new generation punjabis think their language is inferior. The solution lies when Punjabi is promoted and punjabis adopt it.
Isn't Hindi the official language of India?
No India has no single official language or national language instead we have 22 official recognised language in the constitution.
Its very important to protect our mother tongue. Its one of our indentity just like Religion and Nationality

Who told you that? Language isnt limited to a religion ,its specific to a region.

I never understood this mentality in Punjab. Why are you guys in such a complex over yo ur language? Never will a Pashtun speak any other language with each other but Pashto. He will wear his Shalwar Kameez and his Peshawari Chapal very proudly and are usually very comfortable in their own skin.

Punjabi is our mother tongue and we proud of it.
on side note the problem is not about culture or language . the real problem starts when people see their language or culture superior to it.
Urdu is our national language
but in education system student should have option to get education in their mother tongue .
Diversity is the beauty and we all are flowers of Pakistan's garden . let accept each other with an open heart and work to gether for the betterment of country because its now or never

Phen di sister!

This thread is still alive!!!

Threads, with intense racial and ethnic tinge, appear to be quite popular, among posters, from either side of the border.

Pa jee dearest,

Khottaism has too deep roots... written too much on it... now I just don't bother.

Much more interesting is Journey of Discovery...which yours truly is conducting solo!

Lingums found in SouthAmerican btw!

Mangus

P.S. We did spend our youth in beautiful days.... Wish to see Anarkali blossom again!!

I guess there is, indeed, a big difference between Momin and being muslim... I shall leave it at that!
