PTV Eat your heart out

While PTV cameramen, when covering events like the Pakistan Day Parade, never fail to disappoint us with their inability to capture the occasion with some decent substance specially when covering the flypast and aerial displays.This is all the more frustrating since they have plenty of time to prepare and are well aware of the entry and exit point of the participating aircraft formations, still the cameras are placed at silly angles, never taking the back light into account and more focused on the VIP stand. Last year for the full dress rehearsal, a friend captured the Flypast and the air display with a hand held camera and I'm sure you will agree that he did much better job than the so called PTV professional cameramen. Enjoy the spectacle and watch out for the lead F-16 run in.

PTV is rightly to be called PTV-N, as they are good at covering their masters, covering sports events and such kind of defence shows, they suck at it. I was amazed that the aerial performances happened at such low altitude after seeing the above video, as when you watch it on PTV it seems the aircraft is flying a kilometer above in the sky.

We enjoyed the PSL as it was covered by professions, if this PSL even happened in Pakistan, you won't even want to look at it.

JF-17 does't need them because that effect created naturally..check the compressed air effect.

But they don't get generated all the time nor through out the display, in my opinion the JF-17 needs a smokewinder badly as it will add color to its performance.

ISPR and PAF Media Directorate should hire a proper film crew to shoot the event. Not only that, but perhaps also an army of photographers to capture stills. Take the best shots and make them available online under public domain. This way, when media outlets report on JF-17 or Pakistani defence matters, they won't use crummy photos or video clips.
