Following Ishaq Dar’s announcement of raising government employees salaries up to 10 percent, JI and PTI members of national assembly started speaking against General Sales Tax Implementation.

“How could FBR impose it without budget approval”, JI parliamentary leader Sahibzada Tariqullah said on point of order.

PTI’s Shah Mahmud Qureshi says FBR’s move was a bid to surpass the parliament, which is illegal.

And whats more interesting is that JI and PTI are presenting a tax free budget. So much for Asad Umar's analysis on agriculture tax, imran khan's tax plans and slogans etc. At least PML-N showed the guts to do the rightful but were severely let down by media plus the poltical parties. Now with 10% increase some more billions would either add to the debt or would have to be cut from development spending. Opportunist Opposition, Pathetic!

Yes, this will be hard, certainly it will be.. But this is in the end will favor the Pakistani Nation, to grow. I will pay more TAX with the hope of betterment of my next generation. Same like Insurance for the Family.

No sir people don't want hard pills, better keep giving them chocolates. Dar should do the same as did by PPP. keep providing people with aritificially cheap utilities and commodities through subsidy, keep providing government employees with higher salaries and keep cutting the tax rate and base while financing through banks and state bank. Pakistanis are not willing to make a sacrifice today for a better tomorrow.

KPK budget is approaching, you will see how much taxes they levy on agriculture and retail. Sab kacha chatta khul jai ga inkay daawon ka.
