I think change comes slowly. I know not in my lifetime but next few generations. His march shows people want change, but need a leader...Our leaders are remarkable slaves, a country can't buy even a drop of gas next door and pays billions of dollars to IPP every year by signing dirty agreements of kickbacks. Look at electrical bill surcharges and factories shutting down in our Industrial zones.

If we are talking about change coming over the next few generations, then of course I would accept that it might happen. The economic distress that you mention was made over the last few decades, and not just the last few years, to be sure. It has been a massive, sustained, and collective failure.

Yes, the agreements were signed under Nawaz and Zardari's tenure. From dirty Qatari LNG by Nawaz belove Saif ur Rahman to notorious Karkay cases....All agreements are signed in dollars and under UK law. Imagine ..................how they rob this country

Every government has been guilty of that robbery, no matter civilian or military, and no matter which party. ALL of them. That is how Pakistan got to be where it is today. And it is not going to get better, given the way things are going - at least for the next few generations.

The only problem with that change is if it is fast enough for Pakistan to survive as an entity and even if it does is it fast enough to cope with the other changes happening simultaneously around the world that would negate or mislead any changes happening.

The time for “gradual” change is kind of going away for Pakistan - akin to the Pharoah deciding to profess belief in Allah as the waters of the Nile closed around him

That hope isn’t the problem- we have 60-65 year olds claiming that “I lived my life in cowardice and not anymore! I will be in the front for Imran and make this change happen”

To which I said “Whoop tee doo uncle! Great for you to finally get a concience after your generation and the ones before and after it screwed Pakistan over for mine… too little too late”

The time for gradual change in Pakistan was the previous century, and we chose to squander it. We entered this century on a steady decline by choice, and we have lately only accelerated the pace of this decline. By choice, I might emphasize. Who knows, something good might still miraculously come out of the ashes left behind.

Pakistan can only be prosperous, If all doors of aid and soft loans are closed permanently.. And FATF should be more strict on money laundering and the flight of capital from Pakistan. Every year billions of dollars leave on flying carpets ..

1) Capitulation, calling the election date with no conditions?
Answer: chances are next to none
2) Dharna for months in islamabad
Answer: most likely, stalemate yes
3) Bloody fight
Answer: Not possible, political suicide and no way out of it
