Professor of Sindh university: why all other nationalities people are allowed to work&trade in Sindh

You know I was really excited about that possibility. However things are NOT looking good. Two things are must.

  • Gwadar MUST get connect to all of Pakistan via rail and motorways. When this happens Gwadar would become a alternative to Karachi. Don';t forget Karachi has had 150 years head start in laying of transport links. The British built the first rail line to connect Punjab with Karachi way back in 1870s. Ever since roads and other infra has built up over that 150 years. Recently we saw M5 motorway completed which further improves Karachi's connectivity with 200 million people of market of Pakistan. Entire chain supply has buiult up.
  • Gwadar has NOTHING. It has to catch up with that 150 years advantage Karachi enjoys. However I suspect because the government is facing finiancial crunch it does not have $50 billion that would be needed to connect Gwadar comprehensively with rest of Pakistan.
  • Gwadar must be left in control of Balochistan government and it's people must get primary first preferantial. Money must be spent to build up humam capital. Internal migration must be restricted like China does to prevent Baloch being swamped and feeling estranged from their land which will fuel political instability enabling the terrorist activity.

Again none of us have crystal ball but if Pakistan is smart they really should be targetting all those low end manufacturing coming from China and I agree Internal restrictions needs to be put in place so the Baloch dont feel they are being swamped

Picked the last one I saw. I mean, you want me to go back and quote every single one?

That’s a pain when browsing on mobile.

It’s not like you got an official warning or any thing.

In any case, Let me clarify for everyone - transliteration or use of languages other than English is against forum rules, barring the occasional phrase.

Meray nazdeek Pakistani maslay Urdu m ujaagar krny cheahey. Saari Dunya Yeh forum visit Kerti hai anyways a simple pm would have sufficed

Then ask Webby to start an Urdu section or forum.

And Relax, like I said, it wasn’t even a formal warning or anything.

End of discussion on this and back to the topic please.

You know sir I think we have a God given opportunity to develop our own Hong Kong. I agree that migration of a non balochis to gwadar must be regularized by placing certain visa type restrictions.

I told you when it comes to discussing Paks internal rifts I prefer Urdu

Sir ji,

If you ever try to crush them, they will play Sindh card like how they are playing nowadays.

Unfortunately, land reforms should have been introduced in the very beginning. Now its too late. They are too powerful.

When the industrialists were taking over, PPP nationalized industries to crush the industrialists because eventually, industrialization would have solved major problems in Sindh. Now we will have to live with this situation.

Hi,

If you do the job in the promised manner---nothing would have happened---.

If the Punjabi elite was persecuted at first and then the sindhi elite---the sindhi public would have stood with Imran Khan---.

They would have seen the Punjabi thugs facing the punishment first and foremost and that would have calmed them down---.

So---afterwards when IK would have struck down the sindhi Thugs---the sindhi public would have showed no reaction---and would have shuted---'good riddance'---.

There is a way to do things when you have a nation with different ethnic groups---.

I agree with your post in general, it is true for many areas in Pakistan. With Sindh, problem lies with the standard of education. Punjab's education standard is much better than Sindh, and people in Punjab who complete their college education have a higher analytical and problem solving mind than people of Sindh, unfortunately.

This is my own observation, of course.

My children's urdu is quite weak, and I was very concerned a while ago about it. So I brought a few Sindh Text Book Board urdu books to develop their interest in the language. I remember when we were young, we used to love small stories carrying moral lessons. The first story I read in the new book was about a town in which people were concerned about garbage problem. They tried contacting municipilty but it didn't help. In the end, story suggests to help yourself rather than burdening the already overburdened municipilty. Lol. Can you believe it? I mean our children should learn how to fight for their rights.. but anyway.

Just go through the trend PPP is promoting against ARY News Channel for exposing their corruption and how PPP voters are agreeing with the Anti Sindh trend.

Sindh requires an emergency for at least ten years so that a new generation could be brought up with critical thinking. Without good education, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe you are right about the approach this government should have taken, but I believe it will fail unless people of Sindh do not come forward against wadera system.

Even if you take action against everyone in Pakistan, the moment you take action against waderas in Sindh, you will face problems.

Hi,

To take on the sindhi waderas---the punjabi waderas needed to be tackled first---every thing after that would have fallen in place---.

Timing is of the utmost essence during a strike mission---. A new govt that came on the promise of taking down the status quo had 60-90 days to do that---.

All the public---nationwide would have stood with the govt---be it baluchis sindhis punjabis pashtun or from gilgit baltistan or AK---because the anticipation was there---and when there is anticipation of a certain thing happening---the public's reaction is not as severe as it would have been otherwise---.

Maybe you are right.

Same old formula

Mumbai (Maratha-heard land) faced the same problem,Shiv sena entire political career built on it.

.
Moral of the story God helps those who help themselves.

In that case another moral would to be completely dismantle municipal services and save the cash meant for paying govt servants.

Maybe you are right.

Not long ago Supreme Court rejected a petition filed against removal from service by the sindhi teachers hired on contract basis.

The judge was shocked after coming to know about the education credentials of those teachers, B. A in third division.

I have lived in interior Sindh man, I know how the poor people have been deprived of their right of good education.

On top of that, examination centers across the province provide ample opportunities for cheating. So the third division is not a third division actually if you compare with other provinces, specially Punjab.
