I have lived in interior Sindh and these Sindhis are not wrong in what they are saying---.

At first it the urdu speakers that had all the top jobs in karachi / hyderabad---then came the punjabis---but most of them settled and cultivated land---then came the pashtuns and then came the afghans---.

The sindhis are being crushed for a longtime---nice folks that they are---.

If this is not true then why majority sindhi bright students inclusive of the urban areas miserably fail to get through the first semester in universities like qauid azam? Or why 50+ css posts allocated for sindh over the years are still vacant? Is it the fault of punjab that no one can touch the booti mafia in sindh?

Hi,

You are a young man---so you may not know abut this---.

The US used to have similar discrimination---settlers from other states were not welcome---had property burnt down---they were killed---assets looted---.

But in due time---things changed in the US states when the rail road came and brought with it good economic times---.

Old settlers in every country and every nation have been like that---.

Either they merge together if the economies are good---or they become like the Hutus and Tootsies---.

Sindhis are are just saying that in a loud voice---. Now do we need a Hutus and Tootsie drama in sindh---I guess not---the federal govt needs to do something---.

1st---remove all afghans from karachi and move them to their camps close to the border and start transfering them across---.

Place a quota system in effect---.

I don’t think you’re going to find anyone (even the Pakistani Pashtun) objecting to the Afghan refugees and illegal immigrants being sent back to Afghanistan. At the same time, we also have Afghan refugees and illegal immigrants who have been born and raised in Pakistan, and have had kids of their own. What about them?

Pakistan is the only country they have lived in and known.

Secondly, there is a quota system at the Federal level and provincial level. So I don’t understand why you keep bringing it up.

I live in Sindh and let me tell you..

People of interior sindh get jobs, admissions on quota even after 70 dukin years and decades of PPP rule.

Ever wonder why? Did Pashtuns, Baloch, Panjabis or urdu speakera stop them from educating themselves or PPP from developing the province?

Even today Larkana the stronghold of PPP looks worse than mohenjodaro..

That system needs to be done away with even in the US we don’t have that, unless your Native American you can go to any school tuition free but you’ll still be judged based on your grades etc and even jobs you have to fight based on education and job experience, private and public jobs.

The quota system has already been extended till 2033. No change possible before then.

Do you think if this is implemented, and the workforce is given the same opportunities to catch up to other provinces, they will be able to do so in a generation’s time; 20-30 years?

Decades of lower per capita spending (or miss management of money allocated to these regions) in these regions has created the disparity which affirmative action can only rectify.

If this proves anything, good governance and preventing corruption is nessecary no matter where in the country it is happening, because the effects will be felt locally and nationally. This is where real journalism and national Accountability institutions are required; to watch over how money is spent by MNAs and local officials.

In essence, given the track record of the PPP in Sindh for the last several decades, even ‘affirmative action’ isn’t going to accomplish anything without a new political party coming into power in Sindh. That is not to say that a new political party in power will suddenly perform miracles, but it will end the monopoly of the PPP in Sindh and the ‘competition’ will hopefully push all political parties operating in Sindh (including the PPP) to try and perform better.

The education standards in sindh are definitely taking a toll at the local population. Now where did I claim only 50% fail at their first semester in qauid azam university? I said majority "bright" students who secure admission on quota basis in federal institutes fail to get through - - - - - -


The education level in sindh is so piss poor that more than 50+ css posts are still vacant coz sindhi students can't pass that exam as well.


I do also bet that an average matric student from urban sindh can't compete with an average punjabi student hailing from a rural background under the sop's set up by the the punjab education department despite sindh enjoying more per capita development funds than punjab . You guys have made a joke out of literacy.

Do visit KDA , KMC , DMC , CDGK , education board , govt hospitals etc etc and meet the lovely's employed in thousands pan / ghutka eating corrupted to their bones executives you will change your thought corruption thrives in this society
