Pregnant Lioness Refuses To Eat Chicken Served After UP Slaughterhouse Crackdown

Constant crackdown on beef consumption. Yet India remains largest exporter of beef in the world....

It's not crackdown on beef consumption my friend rather Illegal slaughtering houses.

But the Irony is DAMN high that you conveniently ignore it,
while your own nation had done the same multiple times in the past. :(

Isn't it ironic?

He seems to have a disturbing fetish.

on the contrary you seem to have fetish in eating only one type of meat.

1) cows are not humans. They are cows. Like goats and chickens, they are food, and have been food since the beginning of time.

2) You don't want us to rile you then don't rile us. Or we'll rile you back.

Cheers, and kudos.

Pigs are also not humans. They are just pigs. They are food and have been food for ages.

Who is riling who?

Cow has been considered sacred even before the advent of Islam. you had a choice to take the sensitivities of the Hindus into consideration but you did not care as you were the rulers then and you could do whatever you wanted without any fear or repercussions.

Pigs are considered pests and disgusting creatures in Islam. After all, they are known to consume their own filth..

If an outsider wanted to eat pork in Pakistan. He would be able to, without trouble. Unlike in India where one might risk his life if found with beef. There is plenty of wild boar available in Pakistan. Many people here hunt them for sport.

That is because pig is considered as dirty and not religious by muslims whereas cow is considered religious by hindus.

The key difference for me is "Known harmful substance" which can harm innocent/unknowing people like children or young adults. This is what tilts the balance in favor of banning it. Beef does not have this issue. That said it is my opinion and specific to cocanie. Had it been marijuana, I might have a different opinion because according to what we know about it, it is much less harmful than say tobacco.

Well for you, health and life are important while for other their religious sentiments are important.

you cannot decide what is important for them.you can only decide what is important for you.

Well in my humble opinion

Prevention of real physical harm to vulnerable and innocent group >> freedom >> not hurting sentiments.

To me it seems fairly reasonable choice.

I will like my government to protect vulnerable, promote freedom and then care about emotions of masses.

That said, I confess, real laws are not always like this, they are much more complicated and varied and at times stupid and senseless too.

By your argument then, government should not care for the religious sentiments of muslims and go ahead with the implementation of uniform civil code to protect the women from reckless husbands indulging in polygamy and instant divorces.

I for one person support that with full sincerity. Infact thats my beef with @adil_minhas . I think religious sentiments should not override basic human rights and liberties.

That's exactly the point. If Muslims choose to not care for the sentiments of Hindus then Hindus would also not care for the sentiments of the Muslims. It has to be two way street or noway street and cannot be one way street.

You point that "I should be free to marry as many times as I want and divorce in whatever way I want".

Just to clarify, though I don't believe I owe anyone an explanation.

Women in our khandan are lawyers, architects, interior design consultants, even models.

No man in my near or distant family has more than one wife.

No woman in my family wears a burqa or a hijab.

That said, Muslims should decide their own marriage and property inheritance rules as per their own laws.

The state gets no say in it. And Hindus definitely do not.

Cheers.

At-least you acknowledge that you have already gone through the same situation (zia'esq), what we are alleged to be going through now ?? Yet you exist right ? That is more than enough confirmation that we will survive all this. :)

Yes but we never voted for the extremism, zia himself was never elected

India has a problem because fanatics even ones who espouse rape of dead women are being elected

This is what will truly bring down India

Forcing communities to stop eating beef and forcing your dietary viewpoints upon them is the slow destruction of a secular india

Just like I said earlier to someone here, pointing out isolated and sporadic incidents and generalizing it over entire India may make you feel good. But India is too big, well beyond your understanding I guess and the majority of us are of liberal views, no matter if you disagree with it.

Just for an example (you may very well consider it joke), all those Muslim superstars of Indian film Industry never became superstars with the support of Indian Muslims alone. :), ironically you won't be able to show a single such example from Pakistan. :)

Learn to read the flow

Pakistan has much improved, we are making christian holidays as national holidays, we are beginning to enact laws that protect and codify the hindu, Christian communities marriage, death rights etc

This is the flow of Pakistan the way we are headed

You need to wake up, india is headed in the other direction your forcing dietary requirements of one community on all, people are being lynched for what they eat, your trying to curtail the rights of minorities, horrendous fanatics are being elected into power

Your next great secular democracy battle will be claiming you have the birth certificate of your giant blue ram at Ayodya and thus must destroy a mosque

India is headed only one way, Jinnah was a genius
