Why is everyone blaming someone sitting outside the parliament. A disqualified person. For a legislative problems?

Situation was diffused after the gov brought the Army into the equation. One minister resigned and the protestors went home.

I'd say it's very accurate. 95% of people who are labelled as Liberal in Pakistan are incorrectly labelled as such. Thier politics are nothing like that of liberal parties in any democratic country in the world. Many of them have biases based on class and ethnicity, they support the use of force and corporal punishment, they're hardcore capitalists, they lack compassion for anyone who isn't them. Being able to wear jeans, eat at expensive burger joints, go clubbing and smoke/drink makes you a wannabe westerner, not a Liberal.

Agree; when ever the Army has tried social and poltical engineering - overtly and covertly - the results have been complete f*** ups that takes generations to cleanup. From nurturing establishment puppets like NS under Zia, Altaf Hussain in Urban Sindh against PPP, to training taliban with CIA against the soviets in 80s ... the end result has been a mess. To its credit, the Pakistan Army understood the game being plated by Nawaz Sharif and his daughter. Instead of using force against the protesters, the Army chief General Bajwa brokered a deal that forced the government to fire its Law Minister Zahid Hamid that brought an end to the protests.

My diagnosis remains correct and based upon clear evidence. Illegal meddling always creates more problems than it solves for Pakistan.

I am just not comfortable with the mushrikeen and other religious reference.

Until proven guilty he is innocent.

The parliament as whole passed that bill. Nawaz Sharif is a disqualified individual barred from participating in the parliament.
