ISB ki population check ki census mein? Agher 18 sal mein population 400% bare ghi to yehi ho gha. ISB was never supposed to be big city. It should have been small city area for elite only. Instead they kept expanding it around all of pindi district and with no population control.

The issue isnt population but complete lack of professionalism by cda post Musharaf their staff simply doesnot care about upkeep of city. They sit idle in their offices while shit gors south and when you go and complaim to them they ignore or delay your request plus with pmln appointing a land grabber for seat of Islamabad Mayor things are only getting worse for this city
If you think Karachi has it bad when it comes to water supply please do give certain sectors of Islamabad visit

I'm sorry but what did you expect after 400% increase in population in 15 years? At this rate Islamabad will surpass Lahore by 2050. Potohar have huge problem of underground water shortages unlike in plain areas of upper punjab. And then you have city where population increase like rats.

CDA should increase taxes in Islamabad to provide water. More population mean more taxes. While incompetent CDA instead rise revenues by selling plots. It will soon run out of land in Islamabad and then what?

Here is what CDA should do

1. Increase taxes to people who live in Islamabad. Living there shouldn't be cheap. Don't turn ISB in to another unplanned village.
2. Provide direct water to Islamabad homes at certain cost.

Islamabad was supposed to be planned small city. CDA should have increased tax revenues to develop water pipeline. In that region underground water is scarce even in rural areas with million times less population.

You said CDA scrapped plan for pipeline because of budget which mean Islamabad people are not paying enough taxes. Last time I checked must of CDA budget comes from selling plots. With huge increase in population ISB is being turned in to slum dump and then you blame N league who have only been in power since 2013. Illegal shops and houses should be demolished and land reclaimed. Islamabad should be maintained like Bahria town and not turn in to another mess like rest of Pakistan.
