Exactly. Political culture today in many countries is ideological, fascist, hate driven, resembling 1930s. The slide began over 20 years ago. Factors are social media, 9/11, nationalisms, genocidal regimes, supremacist ideologies, terrorism, wars, too many conflicts, millions of refugees, loss of civil and human rights. Someone like Trump is not likely to turn it around, neither would Harris.

Social values have become psychopathic which is reflected in the number of psychopathic crimes. Watch crime documentaries. Back then, I cannot imagine any Saudi leader and officials could approve of chopping up someone like Khashoggi, that too in the embassy.

I don't believe it either. Iran wants to avoid direct war with USA. War is more likely with Trump, but chances increase if they tried the above. Iranian retaliation will probably be constrained to a similar size like before, or less, because of Trump. He seems reasonable yet crazy at the same time, which creates a fear factor.
