PM Hasina plans to build aircraft in the country

Lol, said country whose GDP always 1/4 of Indonesia

Dont take anything they say to heart. Remember they are a starving LDC that only produces cheap walmart clothing while Indonesia has had an impressive growth.

Now tens and hundreds fake articles will be produced how Bangladesh is booming building aircrats and beating South Asian countries devoid of any reality.

All they can do is dream.

But BAL govt is intent on keeping everything miserly and overcontrolled and suffocated....just for its political goal
Yes exactly. Peoples like me want freedom from such hypocrisy. You can make endless promise, but you must have to fulfill atleast half of it .
If can't then everyone will doubt them naturally.

Fine!! Can you tell me after how many years the plan should be initiated?
Never, never and never. Hasina's words on airplane making are only "Baat ki Baat". BD is unable to build an infrastructure to build planes. I just wish it to build infrastructures for manufacturing locomotives and train coaches or, say, for assembling the buses and trucks. Many such important infrastructures are needed, but the plane is not necessary.

A good manager should be able to see things in their correct perspectives and not through the prism. Ability to set the priorities is an essential quality for a manager of a company or the chief executive of a country. Building planes do not fall into the category of priority in the case of a poor country like Bangladesh. It is just not economically viable.

BD growth 8%
Indonesia growth 5%

Dude, why you butt-hurt at BD like that country lady of yours?

Indonesian total nominal GDP is 1 trillion dollar so even 5% growth is more then double growth then Bangladesh. Per capita GDP too is more then Bangladesh.

Some people do not know even the simple math.

The gap is too high for even if the current growth rate continues, per capita, BD won't match ID's even by the year 2050. There also can always be that the growth rate slows down for BD or picks up for Indonesia. However, if the current trend continues, BD would certainly narrow the huge gap in Per capita. Currently BD's per capita is 42% of ID's. BD can get it to 85% or 90% of ID's by 2050 and near 60% by 2030.

Dude, please advise what the word "compound" means.

Too many people talk about economics but do not understand this word.

Please do not insult the PDF members by saying they do not understand the compound issue. I may be the only one who does not understand this, but others certainly know it. They are highly educated. Pray for you to teach me about the compound rate matter.

what is the guy saying in this vid?
The title reads "Pakistan building high-tech JF-17 Thunder Block-III Fighter Jets, leaving India behind". This video is basically explaining and showing Pakistans aeronautics industry, it's JF-17 engineering, exporting materials and such, showing a lot of their great achievements.

Growth is all about momentum. ID lost the momentum too early and got stuck in the middle income trap. Even maintaining 5% growth and keeping currency and infkation in check will not be easy for ID.
BD just in the take off stage and if it can keep the momentum for until 2030 its per capita shoul touch 7-8000 USD. The next 5-10 years should be soft landing and by that time we should have 12000 dollar income.

BD should not be looking at Indonesia as that is a model of how not to develop. Indonesia will just become another Brazil stuck in "middle-income" trap for eternity. Brazil at least has Embraer while Indonesia has and probably will never have a world class company.

Asian countries like China, Taiwan, S Korea and Malaysia have very important lessons for BD and we are already seeing BD being inspired by their economic models.

Talk big and rubbish as usual, like it easy to quadruplet your GDP in 20 years and maintain 5 percent growth while got a very low inflation rates.

Talking about world class company but look at yours had you got unicorn companies at your IT sector? Have you got company work in aerospace industries like PTDI and churn out dozens aircraft a year? Do your country have company listed in Global Fortune 500 list or Forbes like Pertamina or BCA? I bet Bd doesnt have major brands like Indomie of Indofood or Garuda Indonesia
