Please pray for my father

My father is not well and admitted in the hospital, he is so weak that it is not tolerable for us to his state of health. Please pray for his speedy recovery and May Allah give him 100 years of life.

Aameen

PS: He is suffering from Liver Cancer.

Please do not mention about my dad's disease on Facebook if by any chance you are in my Facebook account, Thank you

I'm sorry I replied so late brother. I will keep him and you in my prayers. Allah preserve him.

Thank you,

He is back from the hospital despite the fact that doctors said his liver, lungs and kidney are not fully functioning. He is not able to talk properly but still better than when he went to the hospital few days ago. His condition changes in minutes so he might be better now and very ill in 15 minutes and better again in an hour's time so we know the reality of his true condition.

May Allah give him longer and healthy life

Hi,

After my first post---I have kept out of it---but here is the ultimate question for the poster------.

Nobody is asking----What does the Father want----we know that the son wants him to live---he might have ulterior motives---love---affection---welfare---presence----same with the family----and everybody else wants to pray for his life on this board----. But---what quality of life are you people praying for---.

This question I am asking is that I am 59 years old----progressively closer to meet my maker in the natural progression of life than most you guys----.

So---when my time is coming and I am asking you guys ---" hopefully I will never ask "---but if I did----that pray for me----what would you guys be praying for----!

Would you guys be praying to God to extend my misery---ie give me longer life---or praying that I get completely healthy---which may not be true---or praying that the Lord ease my pain and suffering and make the ending painless?

What I am trying to get to is---that do you guys really know what to pray for under what circumstances---or is your prayer answer is just a natural reflex action without giving the issue any thought?

Thank you,

My father is probably younger than you... He is also 58-59 year old.

There is such environment in the house that we have not discussed about what he wants. The biggest truth of life is that everybody has to die one day so is that mean every seriously ill patient should stop doing treatment for himself? I once heard fighting against disease is also Jihad. So what is wrong if a person is battling against the biggest enemy of his life who is constantly attacking him from inside out? If a 20 year old young kid is suffering from cancer, should he not go to hospital for treatment or should he just stay and await for his imminent death?

My father is sick but as I said the doctors had stopped giving him medication for his disease many years ago. But he was still as healthy as before for couple of years until recent past when he has suddenly become so weak that he cannot even walk anymore. He does walk after holding a hand of somebody when he is in courage otherwise it is getting difficult for him. So if you are weak and cannot walk properly, should you use a wheelchair/support or get yourself shot for quick relief of imminent death?

PS: The medication he is taking is all about restoring his energy.

I think if we go by your logic, there would not be old people around or if there are they would all be in healthy condition. The world is not so cruel I guess

Hi,

If your father is 58-59---that is what my age is----.

There is nothing wrong with a battle---and that also against an enemy like cancer---. My logic is not about taking life---. My logic is about the quality of life---. It is difficult for young people to understand----but suddenly when the knee joint start to go---the ankles cannot take the weight---the hip joint is creaking and groaning---the realization suddenly hits home---and it is nothing compared to other serious illnesses.

And as you explained it---he is not on medication any more----so my prayer for your father is that May Allah ease his pain and suffering.

The issue about my uncle that I mentioned was out of the ordinary----he would be screaming in pain all day long----and the pain medicine would not help---and he would beg his family to give him something to die----and they could not----.

For almost a week he begged them to finish his life when the pain would hit----and in the last two days---he supposedly just screamed and screamed and screamed in pain till he could take it anymore and would pass out---and then he would start screaming again when he would gain consciousness.

@Aether

People with liver issues are recommended to drink a lots of coffee---. There is something in coffee that cures liver cancer---and many other kinds of cancers---.
