Pizza Hut set to open 75 new outlets in Pakistan

This is very sad and depressing that Pakistan is increasingly becoming westernised and secularised. Everywhere you look there is a KFC and Pizza Hut popping up. Same is true in Saudi Arabia our most holy land. True believing Muslims must speak out against this dangerous tendency of "McDonaldisation" of Muslim societies. We should not eat pizza, we should eat our traditional food roti, daal, we should not drink British tea, we should drink our traditional drink, i.e., Lhassi. But we have forgotten our culture and become Europeanised
It's a sarcastic post right?

The point is that these Western fast food joints are being imposed on Pakistani society. There is an elaborate plot to Westernise and McDonaldise Pakistan and other Muslim countries, and take us away from our original culture and customs.
Leave all points aside what the fish is macdonaldization of a society?

And on pizza are people being fed at gun point?

Because pizza is Western, specifically Italian cuisine. Do you see Italian people in Italy going to fast food shop and eating daal or curry?
Dont know about Italy but many Brits enjoy our cuisines

There is no plot to Westernize Pakistan. These companies are in Pakistan because there is a demand for their products, just like any other country. If the Pakistani people decide to reject those products then they will be forced to close shop and move out.
