I know its a warped thing to say but this pandemic is truly teaching the generation of our kids what food means.

Every guy my generation stocked up on rice and flour and oil and pulses first.

The younger DINK couples were standing in long lines in supermarkets. Buying processed meats and pasta and sauces and oregano.

Yep, time for the kids to learn that Rice is equal with Gold. As I remember, VN famine still happended in abt 1986 when we was sanctioned by both CN-US due to protecting ourselves against Pol Pot massacre. Many Vnese just tried to eat all kinds of eatable things they could find. Luckily, we still had food support from Soviet, but the grains from Soviet were quite hard to digest, I never can forget.

Wrong,VN rice ST 24 is the best rice of the world.specially, it can grow 2 times per year.

See the Chinese characters in the blue ring. The characters are "traditional", which are used in Taiwan and Hongkong. Chinese mainland uses simplified characters. I guess these people are Taiwanese.

Coronavirus: two arrested for allegedly stealing rice from Aeon supermarket in Hong Kong amid shortage fears due to pandemic

Two men have been arrested for allegedly stealing rice from a supermarket amid fears of a food shortage in Hong Kong due to the coronavirus pandemic

The men, from Nepal and Bangladesh, were stopped by officers outside Aeon supermarket on Tak Hong Street, Hung Hom, at about 6pm on Friday.

Six packs of rice, weighing 12kg in total, were found on them. Officers believed they had been stolen from the supermarket.

The two men, aged 22 and 33, were detained.

The incident was the second such theft reported in a week.


On Tuesday night at the same supermarket, a security guard chased a man after seeing him stealing three packs of rice weighing 15kg in total.

The suspect ran into the nearby Whampoa MTR station and dropped the rice before getting to the train platform by jumping a gate.

Yes. But we still get good steak in select places in Poona where I live.

Also a very nice place in New Delhi. Excellent wholesome steak.

Yeah.thats why Cnese dont eat CN rice, like they dont drink CN milk ( maybe poor Cnese still eat). Thats rice is unhealthy and CN use it for exporting to Africa nations
