Getting back to the topic. Although I have never been to Kashmir myself, from what I can gather from the internet is that the Bakarwal Gujjars of Kashmir and the muslim Van Gujjars of UP look more similar to Pashtuns than Kashmiris themselves. Heck, some of them can even pass in KPK with no-one even noticing.

I have seen many Gujjars from J&K in Punjab. They look and dress like Pathans. And since their main profession is being milkmen, they drink a lot of milk since childhood which makes them tall and strong as compared to the other Kashmiris from what I have seen.
