Panama Case - Post Verdict Discussion and Updates

Despite my known stance on Panama case, I am not gonna say what you may like. I am unaware of the other POV of this Irfan Mangi case. Does not make him an automatic do-gooder in every case. May be he made a mistake that allowed no choice but to grant bail. Judges have to follow the law, no matter who the outcome may go in favour of. Judges comments do look harsh but may be their side of the view is the truth.

NAB has been known to make deals and let criminals off the hook. NAB Baluchistan is no exception to the overall norm.

Just imagine if Nawaz and co had not given those blatant bunch of lies contradictory statements or agreed to SC Panama Bench formation, then the outcome would not even have gone to the stage beyond a few initial hearings of pakora news evidence during admissibility hearings, let alone any JIT formation.

Our judicial system has always been in favour of the rich and powerful criminals, bar a few exceptions when the criminals get over confident and do get entangled like Sharifs.

Yes..agree to an extent.. But same Qazi Faez Isa...has been giving remarks against Ch NAB in many cases..but never took any action against him...infact inquiries jo NAb members ke against ho rahi hain..(incl Irfan Mangi) ye Qazi Faez Isa bhi us bench main shamil thay..aur inhon n einquiry ki responsibility Tahir Shahbaz ko de di..secy establishment..jin ke apnay ooper bhtt allegations thay.,

And now remarks like..ye hero banaa baitha hai...iske khilaf inquiries horahi theen..certanly look biased.. What do they mean ..ke hero bana baitha hai? SC included him in JIT, and praised JIT.. SC made them heroes..not anyone else..

Dr Asim ka case bhi kiya..Irfan Mangi ne kharab kiya tha? Chairman NAB ke against jo itnay remarks detay rehtay hain.....unhien bhi kisi case main accused banaa dena tha..

Now PML N will exploit this, to the max...kahin.iska review petition ya baad main NAB references par asar na paray,...is ko base banaa kar review main sharif family JIT ko mazeed controvesial banaanay ki koshish karay...aur unki findings ko mazeed controversial banaaye ke SC ne bhi JIT membe ke against remarks diye hain.. Hum pehle hi JIT members ke against complain kar chukay thay..... Agar review petition main ye plea le li sharif family ne...ke JIT members ko jo protection di hai..woh wapis li jaaye..based on SC remarks against Irfan Mangi....phir?

Aur inn remakrs ka geo walay case par bhi asar parr sakta hai..jis main JIT ko badnaam karnay par geo ko notice diya gaya tha.. Geo walay saaf keh dein ge ke SC judges ne bhi JIT member Irfan Mangi ke against remarks diye hain.. Hum ne stories kar dein tu kiya hua!

اسلام آباد (قدرت روزنامہ06-ستمبر-2017) سپریم کورٹ آف پاکستان نے سابق وزیرخوراک اسفند یار کاکڑ کی ضمانت منظور کرلی ہے، مقدمے کی سماعت کے دوران سپریم کورٹ نے ڈی جی نیب بلوچستان عرفان نعیم منگی کی کارکردگی پر اظہار عدم اطمینان کیا اور کہا کہ عدالتی فیصلے کے باعث عرفان منگی پر ہاتھ نہیں ڈال سکتے. خیال رہے کہ عرفان نعیم منگی پاناما کیس کی تحقیقات کرنے والی جے آئی ٹی کا حصہ تھے اور پاناما بینچ نے جے آئی ٹی کے تمام ارکان کو تحفظ فراہم کرنے کا فیصلہ سنایا تھا.

تفصیلات کے مطابق سپریم کورٹ آف پاکستان میں سابق وزیرخوراک اسفند یار کاکڑ کی درخواست ضمانت کی سماعت ہوئی . دوران سماعت عدالت نے ڈی جی نیب بلوچستان عرفان نعیم منگی کی کارکردگی پرعدم اطمینان کااظہار کیا . جسٹس دوست محمد خان نے اپنے ریمارکس میں کہا کہ عرفان نعیم منگی کیخلاف کل تک انکوائری ہورہی تھی اور آج وہ ہیروبن گئے ہیں، عدالتی فیصلے کے باعث عرفان منگی پر ہاتھ نہیں ڈال سکتے. اس دوران جسٹس قاضی فائز عیسیٰ نے کہا کہ بلوچستان میں کئی اہم مقدمات تاخیر کا شکار ہیں ، کیوں نہ ڈی جی نیب بلوچستان کو بھی شریک ملزم بنا لیا جائے ، نیب حکام خود بھی اختیارات کا غلط استعمال کرتے ہیں نیب اہلکاروں کے خلاف مقدمات بنیں گے توہی بہتری آئے گی. جسٹس قاضی فائز عیسیٰ نے مزید کہا کہ نیب کرپشن کا سہولت کار بن چکا ہے ، بلوچستان میں رنگے ہاتھوں پکڑا جانے والا آسانی سے چھوٹ جاتا ہے نیب نے کرپشن مقدمات کو مذاق بنا رکھا ہے. نیب نے 30 دن میں ٹرائل کرنا ہوتا ہے لیکن آج تک کسی مقدمے کا 30 دن میں ٹرائل مکمل نہیں کیا گیا ، قوم کے پیسے سے قانون کی دھجیاں اڑائی جا رہی ہیں. سپریم کورٹ نے ملزم سابق وزیر خوراک اسفند یار کاکڑ کی درخواست ضمانت منظورکر لی اور ملزم کو 50، 50 لاکھ روپے کے مچلکے جمع کرانے کاحکم دے دیا. اسفند یار کاکڑ پر اختیارات کے ناجائز استعمال اور غیر قانونی تقرر و تبادلوں کا الزام ہے.

Its not just about money. Do not forget that that the looted money is in various countries, FRIENDLY countries in shape of direct investment or hard cash. It is a blow to them if all that money is brought back and also it make Pakistan that much less dependent on them and thus less controllable. The bigger picture!

Let's see which "friendly (for whom is the Qs?)" countries have excused for playing any role in NRO.

NRO - not National Reconciliation Order but Nawaz Remediation Order; Saudi, Qatar, China have excused themselves; only country that has given pro Nawaz feelers is Turkey and it's exactly at the same degree it had sent for AAZ during Memogate - in short; Turkey's clout as of today in such matters is not significant enough to yield relief for Nawaz $harif family.

It's nothing personal; like it wasn't personal in Panama case against SECP, SBP, or NAB.

Prosecution failure is most frustrating for any Judge; be it NAB Pakistan or NAB Balochistan.

Irfan Mangi might have played well under the captaincy of Wajid Zia in Panama match in Islamabad but he might have not lived upto expectation in Kakar corruption case in Balochistan. Don't read too much; as comments/observations are within the context of the case; and yes, there is hardly a bureaucrat in Pakistan who has held any powerful post and hasn't faced any inquiry - if Dr. Zafar Altaf type of bureaucrats are brought into court rooms to face inquiries then every single bureaucrat will have the same fate. Current System's core is corrupt; bureaucrat or politician; having any powerful position will get tainted; rightly or incorrectly!

Like two of the Panama JIT members in Dawn JIT were ridiculed to a highest degree; then immediately after few months, termed the recently disgraced members as heros by the same who ridiculed them!

Yes...but remarks like ye hero bana baitha hai...surely give a personal touch to it..when its SC itself which made him or JIT members heroes... Panama bench knew tht inquiry is ongoing against him..yet they ordered to stop all inquiry against him, and in the end praised JIT..no Qazi faez Isaa says why dont include him as accused...while Qazi Faez Isa has never recommended any such thing for C hairman NAB..when he had been giving harsh remarks against Ch NAb but never took any action against him, and today he was all set to include Irfan Mangi as accused...

lets se...what has been the conduct of this particular bench? They removed D r Asim's name from ECL in just one hearing..while the bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal tht was earlier hearing tht case..gave remarks...tht why do medical boards propose independent medical board for all influential ppl? Ejaz Afzal said tht we might constituite independent medical board in this case, consisting of doctors from all provinces..which irked Dr Asim's lawyer Latif Khosa, a lot... Later for some unknown reason..Dr Asim's case was transferred to bench headed by Justice Dost Muhammad, included Qazi faez Isa too..and they ordered to remove Dr asim's case in just one hearing..while the next day..same bench cancelled bail...of some other accused..

Now the case..in which Justice Dost Muhammad and Qazi faez Isa gave remarks against, Irfan Mangi..in this case too..they accepted bail of former minister....

I dont mind..if judges gave remarks against Irfan mangi on a fair basis....if they themselves gave verdict against influential ppl.. But here they removed Dr Asim's name from ECl...never took any action against Ch NAB ..

I just hope these remarks against Irfan Mangi doesnt have any negative impact on panama case review petition.. Because sharif family has asked for removing the paragraph...in which SC praised JIT.. Nw sharif family can base their argument on the fact tht even SC judges gave remarks against a JIT member...so now in review ..judges must remove tht parapraph from verdict which gave protection to JIT.. Nov sharif family's case will be much stronger in this regard.

Also tht case against Geo for defaming JIT.. Now they can say...tht even SC gave remarks.. Hm ne unke against articles likh liye tu kia hua? It shows tht our stance was right.. Again geo's case will be much stronger..

PML N and geo will exploit these remarks to the maximum..
