That distance has ramifications, both internally and externally. For us, only the external is primary. In the sense that: has decision making on FP vis-a-vis India been devolved to Parliament? Or will it be moved (by U-Haul ) to the new GHQ?

That is not true. The GHQ is actually moving much closer to the Parliament.

Presently, the GHQ is in Rawalpindi ( nearly 15 miles from Parliament house ).

The new location of GHQ is under construction in Islamabad ( less than 5 miles away from Parliament Building).

Some people here dont know what they are talking about as usual.

Good call by General Kayani and I respect him for that - But I would say a big nooo - Bleed Pakistan of its defence spending - even if it is few million dollars out of $6.5 bill. spend, it is alright. They can't divert these funds to buy couple of planes. I read somewhere that Pakistan spends $60 mil while India spends around $200. Considering the MOD numbnuts returning defence spending dollars every year, the $200 mill is well spent.

Now the Pakistan army will be forced to spend more to avoid furture casualties, the glacier defence spend will increase for Pakistan. Hoping the Pakistan army does spend as I do not want any casualties of the brave soldiers either from Pakistan or India.

Kayani never claimed to have faith in Zardari.. But Zardari quite suits for Kayani while all the ills are blamed on civilian govt & Kayani, his cronies are portrayed as good guys!!
