Pakistani Rupee Will Be At All Time Low In a Decade

Source? None? So this is just wishlist / political post. Please back such claims with solid explanation. Chinese are crazy to invest in a country whose economy is going to steep low. LoL
Kindly skim through the rest of replies of this thread and you will find sources too.

China is investing in CPEC, not in the country. Anyways, if Pakistan's economy collapses, China will benefit from it as it will already have its mechanism placed to operate in the country. Chinese people working in Pakistan aren't paid in rupees, they are either paid in US Dollars or their own currency.

The need of the hour for Pakistan is to invest in education and power. Invest tremendously in HR so there can be better paying jobs. If these opportunities are missed, economy will surely be on the brink of collapsing even if it does not happen within a decade.

Pakistan has only CPEC which will move the market and huge Chinese investment in Pakistani stock market.
CPEC aimed to promote the Chinese market to the rest of the world. If Pakistan really needs to benefit from this project it must eradicate terrorism. and reading Chaudhry Nisar's statements I don't think he is clear about the concept of terrorism.

CPEC is in Pakistan, not elsewhere. Investment will result in creation of Jobs and definitely other sectors will benefit too.

They (PMLN) seem much concerned about constructing roads and develop housing societies that are clearly out of common man’s reach. While the nation demands attention on internal policies and good governance, the government is seen busy visiting foreign countries and pleasing Turkey and China.

Seems like you'll always oppose anything Govt do whether it's in favor of country or not. I don't like PMLN for corruption but I don't think I'm a hypocrite. My brother left education after high school. Should I also blame Govt. for this?

'IF' they (PMLN) would really have done something for the betterment of the country they should be praised for it. Why is it that every time they end up doing something good goes up in flames? Remember the 'Jangla Bus' records burnt to ashes in LDA building? How many people died because of the fire that only gulped the records of that specific project?

An individual's decisions cannot be blamed on the system. If he quit education it is your family matter and does not concern any political party. But if 1,000 students quit education for the same reason then it is a matter to blame rulers.

Construction is not pernicious to the society but the way it is done under the PMLN law surely is. They promote corruption and harm many poor lives in the process. While SS does have the flair to get things working, is there any accountability for failed projects such as Nandipur?

Yes, correct. But what happens to the educated people? There are not enough people educated in Balochistan to fill in the seats. And you can't shift an army of educated people to a new province. This is where you need planning to ensure there would be no corruption afterwards. Planning perfectly is something that PMLN can never do. If they were such great planners NS wouldn't be in the mess he is in right now.

To this point, no disagreement with you. Balochistan has suffered most and yes KPK too. Sindh screwed by PPP / MQM over last 2 decades. And well know Punjab is limited to Lahore :)

Very good steps by the government. Roads, dams buildings and other infrastructure are very helpful for the economic development of Pakistan. But for the development of moral characters in Pakistanis is something more important.Pakistan just needs education, education and education. But the government is not providing the means to improve colleges, universities and research centers. In education, Pakistanis need subdivided moral and scientific education. But the priority should be given to moral education.

One reason for lack of education is attitude of public itself. I think it's wrong to blame Govt for this. There are schools here and kids choose to pursue for education just because they are dull. Education level in family and neighboring society also have a great impact child's propensity to continue education or drop out.

Chaudry Nisar made big blunder, when he called in Chief of terrorist organization who is known for terrorism and responsible for the death of hundreds of Pakistani. . PMLn has won 40 seats in assembly from these terrorist organization support.

Keeping such organizations in pockets for political gains is the very reason why Pakistan suffers from terrorism. How can you ask an organization to quit their activities when you have already used them for personal gains? And these outfits are trained mercenaries, what will they do if they surrender? Graze sheep?

PMLN and PPP have a habit to create such organizations to influence areas they cannot get to.

India has vowed to never let Pakistan live peacefully. Moonis Elahi, a young Pakistani politician, active speaker on environmental changes in Pakistan has pointed out Indian factories located near Lahore border are polluting our air at a rapid pace. Call it coincidence, or a per-planned move by our jealous neighbor, it will further pollute our air and have adverse effects on our health's.

Alliance led by Pakistan Muslim League proposes two years extension to Military Courts

LAHORE: A four-party alliance led by the Pakistan Muslim League (Quid-e-Azam) has proposed at least two-years extension to military courts in its nine-point recommendations.

The PML’s proposal came a day after the PPPP gave its conditional consent to one-year extension to the military courts.

Matching with the PPPP’s nine suggestions, the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) and Majlis Wahdatul Musalmeen (MWM) led by PML proposed that military courts should be given an extension for two years and a parliamentary committee be constituted to monitor the cases sent to these courts.

The alliance gave nine-point recommendations after the meeting attended by PML leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Husain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, PAT’s Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Sahibzada Hamid Raza of SIC and Nasir Sherazi of MWM at the Chaudhry’s residence here on Tuesday.

The alliance has also proposed that the Model Town tragedy in which 14 PAT workers were killed in June 2014 should also be listed among major terrorism incidents such as blast at Sehwan Sharif, Quetta High Court attack, Gulshan Iqbal Park Lahore suicide bombing, etc and these cases should be tried in the military courts.

PAT had nominated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and some federal and provincial ministers in the FIR of Model town killings.

“We are positive that one day justice will be done in the Model Town case. Like other terrorism incidents, the Model Town episode was also an act of terror and we strongly demand that this case should also be tried by a military court,” PML's Senator Kamil Ali Agha.

Agha told Dawn after the meeting.

Mr Agha said the alliance had proposed at least two-year extension to military courts so that during the period judicial reforms could be introduced enabling the traditional courts to deal with such cases. That would eliminate the need for military courts once for all, he added.

He said the PML would present its recommendations to other parties as well to evolve consensus before tabling these in the parliament.

The PPP had proposed one-year extension to military courts that should be presided over by sessions judges along with military officials. “We think our nine points are more relevant than the PPP’s as these address the real issues of the criminal justice system,” Senator Agha said.

The alliance has also proposed that terrorism should be defined, explained and debated in the parliament, no political party or worker be victimised and political workers’ freedom of expression and media’s independence should not be affected under the proposed amendments.

It also suggested that public protest against price hike, governance, load shedding, law and order, unemployment and extra-democratic steps of the government, besides difference of political opinion and protest against local administration, should not be considered anti-state acts or terrorism.

The alliance also proposed that all stages -- from verdicts of the military courts to decision on the appeals -- should be completed in the shortest possible period.

Chaudhry Shujaat was critical of those making extension to military courts an issue. “We will not allow any attempt to make it (military court extension) an issue,” he said, adding military courts were needed because to convict culprits under ordinary laws was not possible and there had been examples of amending such laws in many countries, including US.

The PML-N government had established military courts for terrorists’ trials for two years in Jan 2015, in the aftermath of the Army Public School carnage in Peshawar.
