Actually now that you mention it...there's a Hadith (a saying of the Prophet)....which says that "Islam started from obscurity and will end in obscurity" and that is true since Islam (the present 7th century one) started from one man...Prophet Muhammad SAW....and if you read the end time hadiths...you'll find that Islam & all Muslims, will not be on this Earth (they'll have died out due to natural causes) and that many people will be flourishing (after all the big wars etc etc) before Judgement day starts..

The atom has been known for a long time my friend....yea, there was no way to prove it without having a microscope but you're giving past civilizations too less credit.

In the grand scheme of things, humans might have evolved technologically but we're still humans in the end....all this tech is just to make our lives better, easier, faster, etc etc....while also lining $$$ for the govt.'s and businessmen....oh and don't get me started of the MIC (military industrial complex) of each and every nation...

The day all of our "science & tech" will help us, in my humble opinion, is when we don't use it against someone else but for the better of all human beings...which is kind of a pipe dream...which is why I keep saying that none of this really matters unless there's a big evolution in human psychology...

Didn't read the standard Mullah bashing, but you are right. For a period of time, muslim spain was the centre of learning for Europe. I believe many European scholars had to be proficient in Arabic.

Increase in lifespans and their constant decrease from there on was one of the benefits people of old were given. We had Giants here on Earth in many places....humans basically who were very tall and well built. The Bible says it...so does the Torah and the Quran.....obviously you won't find "evidence" of it on the internet or in Western scholarly peer-reviewed papers....why would you??
