US investors are not investing much of "***" in Pakistan.
All trade b/w Pak and US is purely based on personal business to business relations b/w traders on both sides while having zero influence from their respected governments.

Trade relations can become a casualty if shit hits the fan.

Several American companies have solid investment in Pakistan including Coca Cola, McDonalds and KFC. They have created thousands of jobs.

They produce items those are not very much necessary for humans. And why would they leave an attractive market with 200M consumers which gives them hundreds of millions of dollars yearly?

I read an interview of a managing head of McDonalds in Karachi. According to him, on weekends their sales cross Rs.10M/branch in some branches in Karachi. Any insane firm will leave such a growing market.
Morever, substitutes of their products are available. If they leave market, someone other will get the returns they are earning today.

Not saying that they want to leave our markets. However, local brands go not have the resources to fill vaccum. There are so many local brands but American chains continue to dominate and create thousands of jobs in the country.

Point is that we cannot take our relations with the US for granted. We should leave the door for diplomacy open, no matter what. This is not a sign of weakness but responsibility. Where there is will; there is way.

Unfortunately, Afghanistan and some irresponsible elements within Pakistan have brought upon this situation.

Anyways, stopping of aid is good in a sense. This will knock sense into muft-khoras in Pakistan. You see that China does not provide us aid in cash; they are only investing.
