Pakistani ethnicities

Hazara are not Punjabi, they lost their language over the years but they are of Turkic origin, they look like pukhtoon and nothing Like punjabis, Ayyub was a hazara , did he look Punjabi to you?, to call them Punjabis is disrespectful and insulting.

so how many here are of Turkic origin ?

There is no punjabi look. And Hindokowans speak Punjabi dialect, they don't have turkish origins, that's the first time i am reading this. Ayyub was Hindko or pashtun i dont know. Hindokowans are ethno-linguistic group, they also are Rajputs, Jatts, Gujars,etc and not Afridi or Ghilzai. Only few tribe if any claim to have Pashtun ancestry and identify with pashtuns tribe.

Anyway there are dozens of punjabi dialect, the reason Majhi seem dominant and standard punjabi is because of poets like Baba Farid, Bulleh Shah, Waris Shah etc.And also Lahore and surrounding areas speak Majhi dialect. Majhi is just another dialect of Punjabi.

Calling hazara punjabi will earn you a smack in the face, not all hazara are turkic and not all are pushtoon, they are definitely not all Punjabi.

Hindko speak Punjabi dialect, please provide source for your Turkish claims. No Hindko claim to have Turkish origins, im talking about majority here. Those Hindko who doesnt have pashtun ancestry are punjabis. Lahore and surrounding areas doesn't have exclusivity on being Punjabi.

Only few tribes of Hindko have pashtun ancestry let alone Turkish.

There only groups of Hindowans, those who are related to pashtuns tribes and those who are not and are related to punjabis. Punjabis in Punjab call them pathans and pashtuns in KPK call them punjabis. They are known as Punjabi-Pathans but would rather be known as Hindko then either of these two ethnicities.

Hindko are ancient people, they converted from Hinduism to Islam. There are still many sikh/hindu Hindko people in the world.

If you combine Pakistani people who speak Punjabi dialect then they make 60% of population.

I know very well and Jadoon, Tareen and Awans are most widely spread in cities of Hazara.
Basically Pakistan as a state is Tribal, ethnic lines came and lost their languages.
Even when u say Punjabi, it actually doesn't exist as ethnicity. Many tribes came in Punjab from different regions with different languages over period of time.

Ayub was a Hindkowan not Hazara, Gen Musa was Hazara. Nor Hazara nor Hindkowans look like Punjabis but Hindko a language spoken by Hindkowans sounds similar to Punjabi language.
