What's new

Pakistani Establishment is in for nasty surprise !!! PPP has separated Sindh UNOFFICIALLY

Asalam Alikum, guys.

We know what's going on in Karachi and Sindh.

The current suggestion by Federal Law Minister Farogh Naseem of invoking article 149 has generated some responses and reality which we need to look and observe at - DEEPLY

1. Bilawal calling for Sindhu desh,

2. Raza Rabbani issuing warnings,

3. Kursheed Shah recently threatening on assembly floor that destruction will occur in Karachi if article 149 is invoked....

What do these empty threats tell us? It tells only ONE thing that

PAKISTAN , as a state, has no rule or jurisdiction on Karachi or any other area of Sindh...

Even if federal government wins seats from specific areas of Sindh and want to take over on their own then PPP will become hurdle in their ways by stoking Sindhi nationalism and bullshit of "Attack on Subai Khudmuktari"

What PPP is conveying that we rule Sindh and you can't do jack shit in Sindh if we don't allow you.

This is literally an unofficial and subliminal separation of Sindh province from Pakistan.

PPP, as of now, is at height of arrogance and power....after ruling Sindh for damn TWELVE YEARS, they have started considering themselves as BAAP of Sindh.

What gives them more confidence is pathetic silence from Establishment....PPP thinks due to current hot border with India, army won't like to get involved in Sindh for law and order situation.....This is what gives them more confidence and this WHERE, I think bluff of PPP should be called.

PPP is brainwashing common Sindhis and strengthening her foothold just like MQM used to do in Karachi at some point in history.

If PPP is not tackled now and thrown in dustbin, then Pakistanis will pay hefty price in liberating Sindh which will result in blood...a lot of.

PPP has smarted the art of manipulation...Bilawal is not a kid...He knows what he is saying. After all, he is son of Zardari, cunning and selfish one.

Time is running out. If establishment allows PPP to rule even after 12 years, she will find itself more suffocated in Sindh province...

Dealing/softness with zardari and other PPP elite shouldn't give establishment some false sense of relaxation about having presence in Sindh....As of now, Pakistan, as a state, and her establishment has practically NO authority over Karachi and Sindh. PPP knew that they might not come to power again so they passed that damn 18th amendment which favor them right at heart, empowered themselves and snatched all rights of city and at the same time, ended the authority of Pakistan over Sindh province.

Now, whenever, the state would want to fix the mess in province, PPP will play Sindh card, will call it alag sooba sazish and will try to manipulate common Sindhis against state of Pakistan.

This is a dangerous situation and demands one time fix surgery, once and for all.

Your call, establishment.

Is PPP is ready to go against Supreme Court?

PPP is a corrupt mess and has been this way for the past 30 years.
Very true. I was watching a video of Husain Haqqani barking against Pakistan. He was introduced as ex-ambassador of Pakistan. To think that PPP government had made this traitor a amabassdor I think pretty well says how far PPP has sunk. And we all know about Zardari 10 center.

But the real question we need to look at is why is Sindh so divided? Why one PPP bags most of the rural seats and why MQM bags all the urban seats. As long as this 'partition' exists there is no hope of overcoming the problem. You know that the federal government cannot carve out Karachi constitutionally anymore then Modi could do with Kashmir. I am not all that read up on the constitution of Pakistan but I suspect the provinces that federated or made the federation cannot be undone by the child of the provinces - the federation.

But beyond the legal issues it would also create massive political instability and potential conflict in Sindh. We must also not ignore that Sindh even existed before the British Raj. Mir of Talpurs lost at Battle of Miani in 1843 after which Sindh was annexed into the Bombay Presidency. Sindh assembly sitting at Karachi was the first to vote for Pakistan in 1940. We can't ignore weight of history.

This below is map of Sindh [Mirs of Talpur] before British invaded it in 1843 and made it part of their British India.

Therefore as you can see Karachi [spelled Currachee] is integral to Sindh which as a entity has history and heritage with greater traction then any other part of South Asia and arguably goes back to 5,000 years. This is nothing something to be messed with lightly just because of the fact that a political party - PPP is corrupt.

If Punjab turns off the waters to Sind... Sind turns into dried out barren Somalia the next day.

@Indus Pakistan

Whatever the history of Sindh, it is now a part of modern-era Pakistan. WE appreciate that Sindh supported formation of Pakistan but keep in mind that PPP have mismanaged Sindh to the point of hurting Pakistan at large. They have turned Karachi into a one big pile of dysfunctional mess, and for how long this scenario will continue?

To hell with this kind of harmful democracy and politics.

I still believe that people of Karachi need to let the country know what they want. If they want Article 149 to be implemented then come out in the streets in massive numbers and show such banners. Alternatively, schedule a referendum for the needful in Karachi.

Time to fix Karachi is now, or STFU.

.
Only solution is to put more political pressure on PPP. Eventually they will have to give in. Even article 149 is to be used under extreme conditions.

1. Security
2. Economic, like if route going through port is blocked.

I think PPP have realised the more time passes the less MQM past will help them to not devolve powers. They cannot use that excuse for ever now that Altaf is done and dusted along with militant wing. Peaceful Karachi is only solution and way to get power devolved. This way Karachi will remain part of Sindh but also who ever win locally can run its affairs like collecting garbage. Not military dictator or governor raj.

By next election Im sure we will get local government in Karachi.

No one should argue about the history of Karachi as a part of Sindh. Remember Islam formally entered from the port of "Debal" by Muhammad bin Qasim in 711 AD. Debal is the modern day Karachi. The problem is just that the city of Debal has now transformed into a Cosmopolitan city where as the rest of Sindh is still living in 2500BC. Karachi cannot be treated same as the rest of Sindh. Its time that we give Karachi the respect that it deserves and not leave it to the PPP to plunder. IK will have to take the difficult decision.

Yeh and unleash civil war. Remember Bangla '71?
Remember Akbar Bughti as well?

Bangladesh was far away from this side of Pakistan, and India intervened.

If a common man was found boasting about so-called SinduDesh, he would have been arrested by now. But the namak haram politicians get away with anything. What kind of society is this.

Bilawal Bhutto should be booked under the charges of treason and conspiring against the state over an administrative matter. What political representation he has in Karachi? Even Lyari residents greeted him with stones not long ago.

May be yes by fooling Sindhis and making them rallying behind her

Problem is if we rally for Article 149, PPP will get advantage and sympathy as by and large Sindhis are not in favor of article 149 in Karachi.

PPP will get new life.

Civil obedience and revolt against PPP is the only option Karachiites have right now, in my opinion

Is this for real (even if unofficial).

yes

Billo Rani says that Islamabad broke the country in two and they will do it again if they take Karachi. Bilawal Bibi should realize that his haramkhor grandfather engineered the civil war of 72 to ensure he becomes PM of west Pakistan. Then he destroyed our economy. Zia should have finished the whole famliy of these vile scumbags.

PPP is the worst thing to happen to Pakistan

under their leadership that east Pakistan split

Under their leadership drone attacks happen

Under their leadership that OBl fiasco happened

Under their leader Pakistan was at its worst economically

Wouldn't mind if all of theme died by the hands of the Army

Yes, I do legend. You will know that Bughti had a minor shadow in Balochistan and was the Tumandar of the 180,000 Bughti tribe. He was also the head of JWP which held 0.3% of the popular vote.

The Jamhoori Wattan Party (Urdu: جمہوری وطن پارٹی‎) (Republican National Party) is a political party in Balochistan, Pakistan. In legislative elections, held on 20 October 2002, the party won 0.3% of the popular vote and 1 out of 272 elected members.

Now you compare that with PPP which has 54% of the seats in the Sindh Assembly and 3.8 million votes, far more then combined PTI/MQM votes at 1.4 million and 0.7 million. Just look at the electoral map of Sindh. It's black everywhere.

There are only 7 million Baloch. Bugti only had a fraction of them in his sway. Yet it was cause of much amatuer dramatics. Out of Sindh's 50 million population about 30 million [60%] are Sindhi's which translates in the huge PPP support base and the reason PPP controls Sindh.

Bughti - 0.3%

PPP - 54%

And your comparing Bugti with PPP. I thought USA had a great education system. Clearly it skipped you.

Ps. Sindh is more comparable to Bengal '71. It has huge population. It is clustered around and has strong ethnic leanings/identity. It has vast open border with India. So you can see where i am going with this. Tread carefully. Only fools don't learn from history.

You would not want to go down that road. Many of Punjabs's river flow through, you guessed it, Indian held Kashmir. Now think !

Since when are the 'numbers' representative of power and martial prowess in any theater? Legends of the world have proven time and again, that numbers become irrelevant in the face of a sound strategy and homework. And Balochi are much hardened people in comparison to internally oppressed Sindhi.

Article 149 does not imply occupation of the Sindh at large by force if necessary, it is an emergency administrative measure to fix Karachi and guide provincial government in this respect. How is this a basis to invoke calls for so-called SinduDesh? Instead of having any shame, PPP is now showing its true colors.

How to fix Karachi, you tell me.

All this doesn't mean Karachi shouldn't be governed as per wishes of its elected representatives with duo share in budget. This is only solution to Karachi problems. Its not comparable to BD at all when Bhutto refused to accept their mandate. Its other way around, Jinnahpur become more of a reality if PPP politics of revenge continues.
