Pakistani army: No new offensive for 6-12 months

Most Pakistanis would also be correct to believe that the Americans are back stabbers and bad allies that leave you high and dry after their interests are met.
Yet many Americans see this opinion as demonstrably false.

A so-called greedy ally that only needs you when their interests are at stake.
America is an ally, not Pakistan's liege lord. The U.S.-Pakistan relationship is shaky due to the inability of the U.S. and Pakistan to openly cooperate on their declared common interests and strategic purposes. During WWII the U.S. and Britain established a common command, and even the USSR was more cooperative then (by coordinating offensives with the Allies) than Pakistan today.

So why does Pakistan have to behave this way? Why does it demand so much for itself yet offer little or nothing, not even goodwill, in return?

.
Am I correct that no Pakistani will be disappointed if Americans conclude from this announcement that Pakistan is a bad, greedy ally with a poor attitude?

Americans are not stupid , their generals know well the ground realities that further escalation towards northern waziristan without proper preperation PA could lose the strategic victories they got in central waziristan .

.
Americans are not stupid , their generals know -
I'm not sure what our generals know, but I do think the PA should hold itself responsible for doing a better job of explaining itself to the American public; the excuses given by U.S. officials aren't enough to convince Congress or ordinary Americans.

Giving explanations to the US public is NOT Pakistan Army's job. We have politicians in both the countries for that!

And secondly, thanks to the US, Pakistan has given more sacrifices in lives to fight this so-called war on terror due to flawed US policies. And in return we do not even get peanuts??

Lets see you fight this war 'without' having Pakistan on-board! I'd love to see how long would your grunts survive in Afghanistan?

So drop the holier-than-thou patronizing because the US has NO IDEA on how this area gobbles up the likes of super-powers! Being the natives of this land for the last thousands of years or so WE DEFINITELY DO!

You mean just like the majority of Pakistanis see the American opinion demonstrably false.
Americans like me can point to many times the U.S. supported Pakistan when times were tough for little in return: defense against India, the Soviets, the Taliban, etc. Can Pakistanis do the same?

.
Yeah, i guess Soviet defeat in Afghanistan and soviet Vietnam was little for America.

We dont have any expectation from majority US senators elected by jewish supported stronge lobbies , making fool the majority of Americans general public and wasting their tax money in wars just for securing oil reserves and trade routes in middle east and central asia .

Basically you underestimated Pakistanis mean time we got nukes due to negligence of CIA but now its too late ,America had not much options left , better to give due respect to world seventh nuke power:D

WASHINGTON (AFP) — A vast majority of US senators on Tuesday urged President Barack Obama to mind the "risks" to Israel in any Middle East peace accord as he presses for a two-state solution to the six-decade conflict.

"As we work closely with our democratic ally, Israel, we must take into account the risks it will face in any peace agreement," 76 of the 100 senators wrote Obama in a letter released to reporters.

Clearly, it would help to have someone bridge this cultural disconnection: Americans generally believe people are responsible for their actions and accountable to those whom they ask for support.

The belief here is that it is the Pakistani policy, pushed by self-interested PA and ISI officers, of encouraging terrorism against India and the Taliban in Afghanistan that is the root of Pakistan's troubles, and the reason why so many Pakistanis have died.

Lets see you fight this war 'without' having Pakistan on-board! I'd love to see how long would your grunts survive in Afghanistan?
I think the U.S. is more concerned with Pakistan than Afghanistan. And Pakistan is not yet willing to give up on terrorism ("non-state actors", as Zardari calls them) as a tool.

So drop the holier-than-thou patronizing because the US has NO IDEA on how this area gobbles up the likes of super-powers! Being the natives of this land for the last thousands of years or so WE DEFINITELY DO!
In my judgment, you are indeed natives but you have not educated yourselves properly. 1) Thanks to helicopters, airplanes, and improved communications the PA can win against robber bands holed up in the mountains. 2) As I see it, if the GoP had listened to U.S. warnings the PA would never have had to fight a war this year.

I'll drop my "holier-than-thou" attitude when I'm proved wrong, not before - and then I'll change my mind. What about you, sir?

You could just say, "No" rather than change the subject. It saves my time and your sanity.

Pakistanis like me can point to many times the support we gave to the Americans after 9-11 when it was the need of the hour for extremely little in return. In fact, all we got in return is to do more and sacrifice more innocent lives for US pleasure. We only got criticism and lecture in return instead of being supported to effectively carry out the mission. Can the Americans do the same?

America is a greedy and selfish ally that only cares about its own interests. It supports twisted ideologies on foreign land when its suits its needs. There are no common interests and that's the crux of the problem. The US and Britain are bound to have a common relationship since both share evil hegemonic desires. The USSR was ready to obliterate the US with nukes and missiles ready for launch. If that's what you call more cooperation you're disillusioned. Pakistan on the other hand sacrificed thousands of innocent lives in the illegitimate WoT. A monster that was created by the rouge CIA agents during the Cold War is now killing innocent Pakistanis whilst the Americans are pressuring to do more. Also, the Americans only like to talk, but when it comes to putting money where the mouth is they are nowhere to be found. Only false promises and delays to play political games whilst more innocent Pakistanis are dying each day.

So why does the US have to behave in such an irresponsible and inhumane way? Why does it ask for more innocent blood yet offers nada in return? Not even goodwill or the equipment needed to fight miscreants that it once created?
