India is not becoming UNSC permanent member. NS doesn't need to worry about anything.
China got the seat as one of the 4 key allied powers in 1945, when most of the world were still European colonies, India wasn't even formed.
If you're referring to PRC succeeding ROC, PRC was already a full pledge thermo-nuclear power.
As per UN charter, a country that doesn't have conflicts with its neighbors is eligible for such a position and India doesn't met the foundation criteria. The oldest issue on the table of UN is unresolved because India didn't accept Kashmir's legitimate right. Even when Kashmir issue is resolved, Indian would have to develop friendly terms before it can be nominated for the position.
How???
We have third largest economy in PPP. We are Nuclear and missile power.
Our potential to grow and strengthen is much more than all 3. All other 3 are past their best.We have yet to achieve our best. Our economy is rising at 7.5% and shall cross 9 to 10 % soon.
Yes but indian military can handle other 2 in we have toOpenly yes but China will definitely veto a resolution calling for India to be part of UNSC. They would probably say they had to veto it as it hampers Pakistan's security.
The US and P5 openly supports the expansion of UNSC but oppose it discretely as it would decrease their veto power (2 vetos would be required to stop a UN resolution).
Also India's military and geo-political strength is nowhere near the top 3 (US, Russia and China).
Well, they need power & fuel first.Nawaz Ji First You Should Gift Better Railways & Public Transportation to Your CountryMen Then should Demand for UN Permanent Seat
UN charter will find its way to garbage when might is right.

I agree, UN charter will find its way to garbage if India becomes UN permanent member. By allowing India to become Permanent Member, entire legitimacy of UN would go also to garbage. India has no legitimacy in Kashmir either except "might is right" and India without resolving Kashmir issue would have to use its "might" as it doesn't have a right otherwise.
If India gets a permanent seat then Pakistan must declare war on India and nuke it.
