Pakistan will never again fight 'imposed wars' on its territory: PM Khan

In the topic at hand, the singular truth remains international geopolitics. For all parties, equally.

It is true for most things even geopolitics. We live in a world where reality and opinions are usually opposite to each other.

However, those closest to a reality have opinions that are closer to the truth. As a Pakistani who has been to pakistan, lived in Pakistan, and knows mostly Pakistanis is closer to that reality.

Agreed, since the last statement applies to many here. ;)

That may be true, but as I said before, it does not matter who sets fire to one's house, or even the house next door. One still has to protect one's own house instead of blaming others.

Indeed. But without naming and shaming them, taking them headon, you are only encouraging them to further lit fires in your home.

They will do what they will do. Pakistan will do what it needs to do. If someone is able to light further fires in your own home, then whose fault would that be?

Ever heard of deterence?

It has many levels. We in Pakistan have failed to establish the deterence at sub conventional level, the hybrid warfare with enemy nations, we have failed to define the true definition of deterence and still stuck at thinking it in terms of weapons.

Only the fear of repercussions work, nothing else. Every nation got internal vulnerabilities, fault lines. As a nation, you must ensure that there is no one out there with audacity to exploit your internal weakness, knowing fully that own house will burn as a consequence.

Ah yes, the good old "I will set fire to your house if you set fire to mine" approach. The better fire setter and extinguisher wins this game.

In this day and age, you cant offer other cheek if one slap you. Its a rule of jungle out there I am afraid. Patience and no response is taken as a sign of weakness which further encourage the mischiefs. Thought its a lesson we should have learned by now after losing 60k odd citizens in this WOT.

I agree with you here in that Pakistan has every right to respond as it wishes to for the situation that it finds itself in. However, please also know that, in accordance with the rules of international geopolitics, also have the same right to respond. The better player over the long term wins the advantages until the next round. I have no problems with that at all.

Pakistan is the one who should be "responding" after being on the receiving end of all sort of foreign sponsored terrorism. Losing 60k citizens is no joke, name me one adversary of Pakistan who has lost this many people? Indeed, We have not followed the rules of international geopolitics to our peril.

It all boil down to deterrence.

Pakistan is just about as innocent or guilty as any other player in the region. Any response will generate a response as well, ad infinitum, no matter who did it first. That is all.

Show me one nation which has suffered 60k casualities in direct foreign sponsored terrorism? Name me one? Your assessment is very childish I must say.

Having such high casualties could mean that may be Pakistan is not able to play the game as well as the others?

That is what I am saying. Pakistan needs to up its the game. As you mentioned the "international geopolitical rules", they should have been followed in letter in spirit from Pakistani side. Until and unless, Pakistan settle its score, bring the equilibrium to acceptable levels, it will be on perpetual receiving end. And that is where the concept of deterrence at sub-conventional level comes into play.

I agree with you that Pakistan has every right to play the game as best as it can, just as the others are doing. I have no problem with that at all.

Imran Khan needed to be reminded of Kulbhoshan Yadev.
