personally i think we can get it if we be strict stopr operation for few days and see some of americans running to pakistan and we must say them we have more lossses than u have gave us and we given u the list if u cannot pass it why should we work for you and tell u waht MI 17 they have just gave us which we have returned them F 16 we bought just giving few night googles and some small things is not that they have given us F 22 raptor atleast chnkook apaches super cobras we can get if we put strict case and send army chief to talk with them straight forward

It is clear that the 'wish list' was no exaggeration, the PA did request the M1 Abrams and SAMs...as well as all those helicopters. That said, I'm not sure about the $2.5bn US figure...it could either be someone's guesstimate; only applies to the airframes void of related avionics, support equipment, logistical costs, etc; or it refers to excess defence articles (EDA) - airframes are free, but Pakistan will have to pay for refurbishment and upgrades.

Well i dont think u can dictate terms with US, mind u if you could you would have done it.Why woudnt leaders do something in favour of the nation

The major things which PA right now needs are attack helicopters and transport helicopters on priority. Other systems are not required and as per our past relationship with US, the sanctions thing, its highly unlikely Pakistan will equip itself so much with US weapons and in that large amount. And systems which are of no major use for us.

All the author wanted was to increase the length of the report, nothing else.

Everything in the list won't be available but whatever will be available will serve the dual purpose. We are surely not looking to stuff our stores with them but even few of them will help Pakistan learn and deploy advanced tech in the equipment that is Made in Pakistan.
