ISLAMABAD: A high-powered Pakistani defence delegation, headed by Defence Secretary Lt. Gen. (retd) Alam Khattak, has reached Washington D.C. to take part in the 23rd US-Pakistan Defence Consultative Group (DCG) meeting.



But back to the business of the DCG, where Pakistan is also expected to urge the Americans to sell the upgraded versions of the AH 1F Cobra helicopters.

Pakistan will try its luck and push for the acquisition of the Cobra Zulu, again. The United States has already disclosed its intent to provide Pakistan eight Global Response Cutters, eight 25 mm or 30 mm naval guns, 32 M-2HB 0.5 mm caliber machine guns, 32 7.62 mm guns including other command and control, navigational and technical equipment all worth around $350 million

80 Of these machines in Pakistan ,with some TOT deal is more then enough for our needs

After we get the Russian MI-17 we would be ok for transport needs and some heavy fire power but for long term 10-16 years outlook the chinese option is best , increase the quantity of helicopters and get brand new engines

this heli not yet completed its delivery to US marine how can they give before that ? but option Pakistan can expect is to upgrade the newer AH-1F to Z standard.

Our Cobras are way past their age. They can't effectively kill Talidogs in broad day, let alone night.

AH 1Z is a great Machine and i thinks US will Agree This Time Just Because of Lovely Russia.Russia Approved mi 35 hind E And Us Does Not Want To lose Pakistan an an arms Buyer.But i Personally I Think T/A-129 Is the Best Option.

Yes... Both Super Hind and Cobras are very good machines in their areas. Good acquisitions by PA.
