AH-1Z Viper Attack Helicopters Spotted in Amarillo, Texas, With Blacked Out Pakistan Markings

Any Chance the PAF could get the sensor Fuzed weapon for its F-16s? Even a few 100s of these weapons on the JSOW could be seen as stabilizing the strategic balance, and prevent commanders going for the NASR.

US doesn’t want strategic balance in South Asia. This was true once upon a time, but not anymore, especially with the epic rise of China. US has clearly made it clear whose side it’s on.

When Pakistan was given the Block 52 F-16s nearly a decade ago, it was in the hopes that in the event of an escalation between the two nations, Pakistan would have the means to conventionally repel a limited skirmish with the Indians, until international intervention could de-escalate the situation.

Febuary 2019 proved this to be a wise move. In the same vein, sale of 200-300 JSOWs for the PAF F-16s will do something similar. It will decrease the need for nuclear weapons, and let all commanders know that there are conventional means at their disposal, so they don't have to shoot off NASR systems, in a use it or lose it scenario.

Febuary 2019 showed Pakistan used the F-16s responsibly, and in a limited and calculated manner. Pakistan can therefore be trusted to field the JSOWs only if and when needed.

I think the PAF would have a better shot at using a Chinese JSOW-equivalent (e.g., GB6) from its growing (near-200 by the 2030s) JF-17 fleet. The priority of the F-16 fleet should be to get-off air-to-ground missions and hone in on A2A.

No necessarily. USA will not count out Pakistan for a long time to come yet, please rest assured.

Your right, the F-16s is best reserved for A2A, and this will incentivize the PAF to build or procure all needed A2G munitions for the JF-17.

on a side note; If western defense sales are being approved; it may be the perfect time for the Pakistani military to approach the Emiratis and Qataris to seek French approval for a sale of their 89 Mirage 2000s to Pakistan, as was tried by General Bajwa in 2017.

They still have the air-frame potential to serve another 20 years and can open up European munitions onto a European platform with limited if any need for modification. European A2G Munitions can also open up another avenue for the latest munitions in the even of a supply issue from our other suppliers. It will make war time resupply by Arab allies more easier, as the platforms will be programmed to carry the Storm Shadow (or Black Shaheen in UAE service) and the AASM "Hammer" Bombs which Qatar already operates; and provide adequate self protection with MICA and Meteor missiles.

I think from late 1990s begining with Clinton there was 'hurtle' towards India but now I feel US has taken stock decided not to consign Pakistan to the bin but try a more nuanced approach which keeps options open with Pakistan even if India is chosen as the US fulcrum in Asia.

Absolutely. USA will remain engaged with both Pakistan and India in areas of common interests on both sides.

It is for Pakistan to remain relevant. truth be it is still a large country even if it is dwarfed by India and should be able to carve a niche for itself.

It is a nuclear power, and that alone assures its continued relevance, not to mention may other factors. The only way it can sink is if its economy implodes.

I didn't say that. Of course, US will rely on Pakistan, but on a narrow scope: Afghanistan and counter-terrorism. But US is clearly on India's side, especially against China.

It was, it still would be, had you not fecked up and then chickened out of launching a full-scale war against Pakistan this last spring

I have a strong feeling that Army Leadership does bring these Choppers up in their meeting with American Political and military leadership , IK does hint that we will give Americans good news regarding 2 hostages, maybe because of that these Zulu's will be released . But again, it is my personal Opinion and I can be wrong .
I would not rule out the return of US choppers now.
Hang on tight, its coming!

They'll come, I don't remember if our pilots already completed the training or not, they'll need a refresher course
