Mauryans were not local. This is a claim being spread by Punjabi nationalists based on an unreliable play which claimed that Chandragupta's army consisted of "Shakas (Scythians), Yavanas (Greeks), Kiratas, Kambojas, Parasikas (Persians) and Bahlikas (Punjabis)" and that he expanded West to East. However, there is very little basis for this.
We dont know the composition of his army but that doesnt nullify the point that he expanded west to east .Actually there is little basis to the contrary east to west migration and most of it based on legends..

It was only after Alexanders retreat that Sandrokutto Maurya conquered the Punjab region from the southeastern edges of Alexander’s former empire and did not "reconquer" it. Which means his expansion to east began then.. The Seleucids, a contending dynasty for Alexander’s legacy, attempted to advance into India in 305 bce stopped by Mauryans.Mauryans picked greek masonry skills. Mauryans were able to extend their empire across northern India and were the first people to introduce greek architecture reflected in present day indian ancient tombs.

Sandrakottos Maurya was most likely born in the region around taxila where he got his early schooling... there was no major maurya king before him who expanded an empire.
Even if we say his schooling at taxila is a legend, his presence there during Alexanders advent and him not being in control of present day india and even parts of punjab prove his powerbase was local to taxila a region he was likely born around...other mauryan era artifacts point to the origin of mauryan being somewhere between swat and chitral .

nalwa ranjeet singh were local

Local?....Decide 2 Nation Theory or Son of Land???........If anyone born in current Pakistan land irrespective of religion..and if you own it...than there are thousands of more examples....including Chanakya, Bhagat Singh, Indian PMs Manmohan Singh, I K Gujral, writer Kushwant Singh, Actors Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor (and most of his family) etc and several other non-Muslims.....
Nalwa and Ranjit Singh mainly fought and won against Muslim rulers...Afhganis or born iand lived in Current Pakistan....If so, why don't you own them in your history books?

And if you consider locals as Muslims...then your reasoning is invalid...

Where was Aurangzeb born?
Look for why he isn't claimed as local in India, then replace India with Pakistan and you will have your answer.

Ranjit Singh was a Pakistani Sikh and he created and ruled a Pakistani empire in Punjab, Pakistan.

He was not from Republic of India.
Ranjit Singh's government's official office language was Persian & not Hindi or Punjabi, neither written in Devanagari nor in Gurmukhi scripts.

So to same length then, Chanakya, Chandragupt Maurya, Paouras, Bhagat Singh, Ranjit Singh, most of Sikh Gurus were not Pakistanis.....as they are not celebrated there?

Weak argument mate....Need to have a locus-standi on who we are... wandering identities to suit the situation are not the hall mark of a sovereign society.
