ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has successfully test fired long-range surface-to-surface missile. Hataf-6 Shaheen-2 ballistic missile have 2000 kilometers range. The missile could carry nuclear as well as conventional weapons.
The nuclear-capable Shaheen-2 missile was launched from an undisclosed location Saturday, and has a range of 2,000 kilometers (1,245 miles).
Prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen. Tariq Majeed and defence minister Ahmed Mukhtar witnessed the missile test.
President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani have congratulated the missile scientists for successful test of the Hataf-6 Shaheen-2 ballistic missile.
