If the real (in bold) purpose of this waiver by the EU to Pakistan is to help the flood victims, provide aid directly to the victims for faster relief. Why they chose to support Pakistan industries and in turn its effect on the relief to the flood victims...too long a process

The answer is simple, the motive is to hurt Bangladesh (most), Sri Lanka and Indian industries.

I don't understand, Why does Pakistan want concessions which will directly go to its businessmen at the cost of poor countries like India and Bangladesh?

It makes no sense at all.

If EU wants to help, they can by giving direct aid (and delivering directly too, otherwise that will also end up in somebody's pocket!).

If Pakistan believes more trade helps their common people, they can stop blocking all trde moves in SAARC and reciprocate India's MFN status !

No need to feel smug about it. If removing the objection helps Pakistan, without affecting Indian traders a lot, then India should help Pakistan. A gesture of good will goes a long way.

Thanks for your thoughts. I wish that Trade and Politics could be kept away from each other. If India and Pakistan work together to ramp up trade between them, it will benefit so many people and that can be done without prejudice to the respective postions that both countries have on their political disputes. If both countries work towards opening trade further (MFN is only one way), the ordinary citizens in both countries will gain. While both Govts. can continue their posturing w.r.t. each other in the other matters.
