Statement comes after a day after Afghan President Ashraf Ghani accused it of sheltering militants

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—Pakistan on Tuesday said it remains committed to peace in Afghanistan but isn’t solely responsible for ensuring the Taliban’s participation in the process, a day after Afghan President Ashraf Ghani accused it of sheltering militants.

“We have time and again emphasized that bringing Taliban and others to negotiation table is not just Pakistan’s responsibility,” Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Nafees Zakaria said in a statement, without directly referring to Mr. Ghani’s speech.

Mr. Ghani said Monday that he expected Pakistan to act against militant groups who were based there, and asked Islamabad not to differentiate between “good and bad terrorists.”

“We draw no distinction between any terrorists who have no religion and no value for the human lives,” Mr. Zakaria said in his statement. “We condemn terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.”

Mr. Ghani said in his speech that he would complain to the United Nations Security Council unless Pakistan took action against insurgencies including the Taliban, whose leaders, he said were sheltering in Pakistani cities while orchestrating attacks on Afghanistan.

What he precisely meant was "Hum nay tum logo ka theka nahi utha rakha".

. . . .
Do Afgan Mafia folks think that they can remain as stooges of RAW forever? They aren't as lucky as Bangladesh in that sense. History has shown us that they will be replaced by the Hakiki Afgans who embody the spirit of Ghauri, Abdali and countless other heroes. Who are they fooling with and on behalf of whom? If they can't face their adversaries in the negotiating table how will they face them in the real battlefield? When Allah-u Azimushshan wants to punish somebody, HE first takes away that person's Akl..

Anyway, now that they have shown their utter incompetence in all senses of that word, I sincerely hope that the US policymakers' hands are now ultimately free to negotiate with the real folks who have a historical precedence to deliver. The US interests in the region now can best be served in liaison with Pak and China. Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail to chalk out a realistic plan so that everybody can leave with a consumer's surplus. Those Ivy League grads shouldn't mess this opportunity. Even McNamara had to swallow his ego....

Send all Afghans back to their country, the Afghan forces can find the Taliban amongst them. We can not support more refugees and it is not our responsibility any more.

In my analysis, Afghanistan needs Pakistan's help to develop peace in its boundaries because Pakistan shares a very long border and also people of both countries have historical relations with each other (I may be wrong but that's what I know so far) and this in turn will help Pakistan too so it will be a win-win for both countries and any entity (individual, organisation or a country) wishing to the contrary is the enemy of both the countries.

That is much better statement. Let them deal their internal situation by themselves. Let them resolve Afghan political issue according to Pashtun tribal law.

I think they were supposed to be sent back previous year but Nawaz being Nawaz agreed to extend their stay beyond 2016.
And this moron holds the highest office.lol
So no Afghans are not going anywhere and they can continue barking against us with impunity.

well, we can always give the Afghan Government a date for their return, April 2017 to coincide with the spring offensive
