If they didn't want to live under Islamic rules, they should not have been living here, they had the opportunity in 1947, India has announced that they will take in any Hindu, they should move, if they dont want to live under the Islamic laws. That is precisely the reason it was stated that we are going to be a land of Islamic laws. So they would know whats coming to them. They should have known better.

Nope, I am citing the source for your satisfaction, the very fact that we are not racist can be felt in our culture.

Pakistanis are generally very welcoming of other races and are not xenophobic. Every time i have seen a foreigner in Pakistan, that person gets special (in a good way) treatment by almost everyone. I believe we are so welcoming that sometimes it's almost overwhelming. We should give others some space and privacy without everyone trying to talk or help them.

We are unfortunately more biased against each other (a significant minority).

There is no mahajir/sindhi violence, it is a political fight between MQM and PPP, no people are getting killed.

We have exposed your "monkey" in Balochistan backing both TTP and BLA.
If religion fight was "real" it would have stayed and not died with TTP.

Pakistan has been ranked as one of the least racist countries in the world, according to a report in the Washington Post.

Data tabulated from the World Values Survey, compiled by two Swedish economists, implied that Pakistanis was among the more racially tolerant countries.

The surveyors asked respondents in more than 80 different countries to identify the sorts of people they would not wish to have as neighbours. Some replied, “people of a different race.” It was concluded that this question could serve as an accurate indicator of racial tolerance in different countries.

Merely 6.5 per cent of Pakistani survey respondents objected to having a neighbour of a different race.

The data showed that Anglo and Latin American countries were the most tolerant in the world. Respondents were the most receptive to having racially diverse neighbours in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

India, Jordan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong were the least racially tolerant countries, according to the data. Only three countries out of the 81 surveyed had more than 40 per cent of respondents say that they would not like to have a neighbour of a different race.

43.5 per cent of Indians, 51.4 per cent of Jordanians, 71.8 per cent of Hong Kongers and 71.7 per cent of Bangladeshis were termed “racially intolerant”.

I am an ex-MQMer, I can tell you that general supporter is not racist, the idea that they buy is "Mahajir p zulm horaha hai", because well, PPP is pathetic and 92 operation. They sell the incompetence of political parties as anti-Mahajir hatred. They are basically pro-Altaf idiots and they wont accept anything against them.

Someone found that WVS or WaPo have messed up the analysis. The article links to their blog.

Now I followed their reasoning and looked at the survey data itself which is available here (Source : google worldvaluessurvey).

There are two entries for India in their latest surveys. Mind you India is only country with this anomaly.

One suggests (2012, sample size 4078) about 25 % of Indians do not want people of different race living in their neighborhood. Another (2014, size 1581) suggests about 40.9 %. Which one is correct? One is more recent but other has much larger sample size. Secondly, surveys in India were taken in English while those in Pakistan were taken in Urdu. This makes random sampling totally broken in the case of India. What that means is that you are limiting your sample to 10.56% of Indian population (Source : Wikipedia) . Hindi might have been a better choice. No wonder they get so much varried results.

My take has always been on these social surveys is that they are as common as dog stool and about as useful. Trying to measure behaviour of 1.25 billion people using about 1500/4078 samples. Well good luck with any useful results.

Lastly, looking at the Maps they post on their site, it appears that they have mixed both the surveys giving 29% of Indians not wanting to live next to a person of different race.
