It was reported in Washington on June 7, 2000 that Pakistan has not only five times more nuclear warheads than those of India, but it possessed far more capability to use them also. This was told to the NBC News by US military and intelligence officers, after reassessing the South Asian balance of power. The report titled “Pakistan nukes outstrip India’s” says that in the light of new evidence, the US has been forced to reverse its assessment.

What is the point of 100 + nukes when their storage facilities , delivery systems etc are all limited due to geography or technological constraints .....?

As far as India is concerned , hopefully instead of pouring cash into numbers , the GOI is gonna focus on infallible second strike measures ---nuke subs , Underground silos --Shouryas with increased range . Diversify our delivery mechanisms and counter -attack capability.

15 nukes in strategic areas delivered precisely is enough to take out a country of Pakistan's size ,war fighting ability. Just a fact.

No need to be sane but atleast don't be plane stupid....You guys are a confused state and that is hurting you a lot...Why do you think making 115 nukes is a very big task???? It is a matter of making fissile material...Both the countries have the technology to make as many nuke as required....India being huge has the capacity to make double the number of nukes in half the time that Pakistan possess....You have only one nuclear power adversary...however India has two potential nuke capable adversary and yet we are not going on nuke frenzy....Why do you think Pakistan is able to beat India in this field...??? Its Irony but truth is more and more nukes are a sign of weakness and not strength.....

You dont need to depend on a washington news analysis if you 've followed the Nuke delivery systems and countermeasures on both India and Pakistan through the years ...

I hope you understand that these 100+ nukes are not for indian cities- Basically its the same planning- strategic locations and military assets tops the list--

the quantity is good thing, but quality is necessary too. Now that Pakistan is quickly becoming the 4th largest nuclear power, Pakistan need to work tirelessly on miniaturisation and develop state of the art smaller weapons, this reduces the quantity of enriched uranium and plutonium needed for the weapons. It would mean more weapons deployed and fired from various platforms including submarines and artillery pieces.

Work on better guidance systems.

And yeah, learn from Indians to how to produce "indigenous" weapons, without the help of other countries. Spend 30 to 40 years, over budget, over weight, obsolete weapons and then wait for the missile failures. This is a precious art, one has to learn and master like it is mastered by DRDO. Without it your experience and products would count for nothing.

Also learn how to conduct a failed nuclear test. The actual nuclear material failed to go off, and the blast only lit the fuse.

Without these traits, Pakistan is a fake Nuclear State, and would not be recognised at all.

First did you analyze whether it is possible to at all use even a handful of them ?

No offense , just academically --- how many secure storage areas do you reasonably think Pakistan has ? considering your limited geographical area. Do you realistically think these sites , the sites of your missiles , your nuke complexes are not being monitored by Indian Military Intel ?

There are doubts about Pakistan's capability to reach all of India in the first place ...but lets say for assumptions sake they can .

Do you think they can take out more than a handful of our military nuke assets ???

Cities and civilian assets are not exactly relevant ....
