Pakistan Needs J-20 If It Wants To Stand A Chance

yeah no need to bring in money, we got the uae picking up the tab.

seriously? no need to think about money? if money was not an issue then pakistan would have a long range offensive airframe by now in the name of the typhoon.

dont you mean have surgical strike capabilities?
:p:
Had you an inkling of an idea of how the UAE has directly supported Pakistani Armed Forces, & the level of cooperation., you wouldn't have made this silly comment.

It would, and they are thinking about this already, because the data-link capability between the models is for precisely this purpose. One doesn't need to hear that they are looking at these opportunities over the neighborhood mosque loudspeaker, it kind of stands out of the ruck.

Needless to add, the cycle will go on. On our side, the quest will be to spot those J-20s as early as possible, if possible. Fortunately for us, Pakistan has very little airspace in which to hide; keeping all her assets in the air, anywhere, makes those assets vulnerable from within Indian territory. If the J-20s can't be spotted, the JF-17s can; it will be possible to take down most of them.

Clever, clever boy.
sir, can you allow us to first buy this thing and you are most welcomed to share how will india counter this,,

no offence please.

sir ji, PAF men are like Tom Dick and Harry, neither they see, hear nor they speak.

If they would have been clever enough we would have RAFALE already in our airforce,

well me being from the uk making logical statements and you from the uae and in the military. id firstly believe you. but then i remember again, your in the military. you dont just go on to forums and splurge out all of the current activities pakistan is involved in. there would be elements to deviate some from the truth with a false wall. but thats beyond my need.
yes china and pakistan are tier 0 partners (not one) and there are elements which remain to be seen and most of which will never be seen. but nothing is ever free, theres always a cost either directly or indirectly.

oh and i do know the pakistan airforce literally setup the uaeaf and still have a large presence of pakistanis there

I mentioned this on an earlier thread. PAF is not only considering the J31, but the J20 as well. Plus Both, how's that for a spanner in the works?

Note: Fanboys please don't bring money into this thread.
That seems to be a more prudent approach since 2-3 squadrons of J-20s and 7-8 Squadrons of J-31 with 20+ squadrons of JF17 blk III and IV and 60+ F-16 upgraded via Turkey to V or blk 60 level will make a good answer...

Haven't the Chinese already mentioned that J-20 isn't for sale? So, make it JF-xx....
It is a trick question...Yes they had mentioned it is not for export, however China has also said all their manufactured equipment is available to Pakistan. They also offered the WALL which is the J-11 when Pakistan was looking to procure fighters a few years back.

Hi,

Whatever it is---has to have deep strike capabilities---.
Sir,
For deep strike capabilities with great loiter time and heavy payload Su-35 still beats any fifth gen A/C be it J-20, J-31 or F-35 or even F-22.

That's why I say that a heavy fighter like SU-35 will still have a specific role even if PAF acquires fifth gens especially for maritime role since PNS won't go for ACC so we need a land based long range capable squadron that can carry four heavy AShMs like C-400 akgs, Raad ALCM and sink a few frigates / ACCs of INS in a single sortie.

To upgrade to "V" you need uncle sam's permission as well as the AESA radar (APG-83), which in all probability, will not happen. But could happen, depending on how one plays their cards.

To upgrade to Blk62, extremely expensive, given the inbuilt systems, plus higher thrust GE engine, so might not be worth it. "V" might be a more cost effective solution.

I was thinking of 7 or 8. But if you want that many, I'd have to insist that the engines come separately and preferably JH-17 engines be used. Can't have that many dangerous planes in the hands of people who have dangerous bombs as well.

I'd have to think about it. To give myself enough peace and quiet, I'll stay off this thread till I decide on a good number :enjoy:

I think Turkey is making a AESA radar for its F-16s and they are preparing a complete upgrade kit similar to V..so I base my hope on it
