. . . .
I was wondering where the increased budget is going.
Project Duration is more than 408 days meaning built in more than a Year ( divided by 2 year budget) , its not a Dancing Club , its a Sailing Club . Its just a 3 Storey building in Pakistan , not an offshore account/Avenfield apartment .

not to forget, it would be generating revenue of it's own

.
Membership fee and even if civilians are allowed?

In a country where people are starving why is our tax money paying for club houses for the elite? I'm all for giving our armed forces the weapons they need, salaries that reflect thier risk, pensions and insurance for widows etc - but this excess is unacceptable. It's no better than the corruption of politicians.

If you think this is excess, you probably seen nothing of note in this world. LoL.

Probably not, but I've seen plenty of poverty in our country. I've seen children sleeping on the streets in the summer day time heat, I've seen the malnourished, I've seen big strong men work themselves to skeletons trying to survive.

I think they need this money more than the sailors need indoor swimming pools and a club house.

I'm sure you've seen a lot more than me. I am only lucky enough to be a guest in Pakistan every few years.

To be honest, the whole project would be not even come to a few tens of thousands of dollars.

I never thought about it that way. I'm doing my sums in GBP...lol

Its still strange to me. I guess it's normal in Pakistan. Maybe we have such stuff here in the UK too - just never hear about it.

true, I have seen people and animals drinking from the same water pond, made by rainwater, myself. Moreover, this situation is from a place which is located only 60km from Karachi...

Its not the right thing, attracts too much unwanted criticism plus armed forces needs to focus on fighting and let civilians take charge of the economy!!
