What's new

Pakistan may study other fighter options as US asks Pakistan to make full payment for F-16 purchase

.
NOt getting............................... they stopped only AiD

bhai go n pay cash for 8 f16 and it's yours.........................AID sooner or later will be released

.
It is about time to dump American Planes and arms. Look to friendly CHINA AND HIS j11 OR j31PLANES WHICH WILL BEST for Airforce to serve , tere is no Embargo on them to get spare parts for service them.

.
No need to be angry, they just stop aid not f-16's. We still can get them, if we are willing to pay from our sources, but i think we should buy j10 instead with aesa and next gen BVRM.

. . . .
What's the problem? Only aid has been halted. Pakistan should it's own dime to buy these jets as almost all of the world does.

When it comes to strategic alliances, many countries get financial assistance from USA.
Israel, Egypt etc.
For Pakistan to not press for the financial assistance package is irrational, our economy has suffered enormously due to a highly unstable and chaotic Afghanistan/Pakistan belt in a post US invasion scenario.

It also needs to be kept in perspective that US exit plan in the Soviet era Afghan Jihad also left Pakistan extremely vulnerable to the effects of radicalization and militancy. A highly unstable Afghanistan did not help the situation get better either. The influx of weapons/drugs etc. gave rise to new problems besides the radical foot soldiers of the war.
In my opinion, even a highly capable government in Pakistan would have probably failed to control the side effects of the Afghan Jihad. Whether it was the foreign militant networks, the money trail for promoting militancy/radicalism, infrastructure and socioeconomic development; America could have helped a lot more in stabilizing this region.

Let's see whether the US wants to repeat the previous strategy of complete abandonment which it executed a few decades ago, or is it willing to work out a better solution this time around?
If its the latter option, US cannot ignore its complicated but logical partners who certainly wish to regain the lost stability quite desperately i.e. Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Yes But That Would Mean Pakistan Charging Market Rates to US and NATO For Use of It's Port and Road Network

Yaa right!!

USA will scared of Pakistan's empty threats.

Pakistan has taken huge amount of loans from IMF and other multilateral organisations.

This year itself you have to pay back IMF $3.6 Billion, with total debt servicing amounting to $6 billion.

USA has the most say in these multilateral organisations, all they have to do is call in your debt, Pakistan again will teetering on the brink of defaulting, like 2008.

With Annual Remittances of $19 Billion You Actually Think We Can't Pay $6 Billion?????:disagree::disagree::lol::lol:

Before Ranting Don't Forget One Block of Our Copper Mines Is Worth Your Entire GDP

We knew what we were getting into post 9/11. Things will get worse for Pakistan and it's Armed forces. Afghan end game is now in hands of Afghan Taliban. Pakistan has taken a calculated risk of not antagonising them now when Afghan Gov has not stepped up to the occasion.

This is the arm twisting for Afghan withdraw. Next step is surely economic sanctions and/or shrinking foreign western markets and venues. The next phase will be India centric.

It is of paramount importance that we put our house in order. Government has to show strong leadership and the recent show of PMLN and Nawaz Sharif is disheartening. He looks to be yelping rather than roaring in face of opposition. It will be surprising if current Gov can show strong leadership.

Pakistan's semi annual trade deficit itself is $15 Billion, So yeah.

So one block of your "copper mine" is worth more than $2400 Billion. Where are your hiding these copper mines?

.
The Deal is Done , May be they want more money out of our pockets or may be some arm twisting for any political or military gain.
But I really think time has arrive we have to look for other birds , if we cant buy any other bird then build one like J10c(p) and upgrade JF17 ASAP (minimum Gripen NG) .
For only 8 birds we facing that much hurdle , think what will happen if we buy 18 or more in one order and imagine what will happen IF TRUMP BECOME THE NEXT PRESEDENT OF USA .
PAF is only buying F-16s out of short term necessity, it has no interest in buying any other US fighters due to political pressure.

.
All American wants full payment of F16...nothing else. Nawaz should pay it from one off shore account and all is good. US is not breaking contract or anything else. It seems basically diverting the coalition fund toward F16 payments and US is not ready to take this payment.
These few senators are supporting Indian mantra or Indian lobby worked hard on these two guys.
