We should be closer to Iran who we have a physical border with they are still better than saudi arabia who is one of biggest sponsors of TTP & ISIS and currently secretly courting israel and committing war crimes in Yemen.

I think this is an illegal and unethical act if a country uses the citizens of another nation for its war without the permission and blessing of the state. Pakistan should raise this issue with through diplomatic channels and ask them to revisit their policy since it can have serious implications on the sectarian divide in the society. All non-state actors have the potential of turning into violent and rogue elements in the society after their services are no longer required without proper orientation and rehabilitation. That's what happened in Afghanistan after the USSR's defeat, USA left Afghanistan on its own and all the militias and groups started to fight each for power instead of settling down. Similarly the so called mujahideen used by the militant organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba become a nuisance for the society since they fail to normalize and naturalize after they have been let go. The extreme brain-washing and the training they receive over a the time get imprinted permanently on their minds. Some of them can turn into terrorists by joining terrorist organizations which have anti-state agenda.

They are volunteers. Don't need consent from anyone. When they get to Syria, they fight Turkish volunteers on the other side.

They are all Shia. The only Sunni militia trained and armed by IRGC is Hamas in Palestine.
