Here are current options for advance trainer for PAF.

1) KAI / Lockheed Martin T-50 Golden Eagle /FA-50.

2) Hongdu JL-10 / L-15 Falcon

3) Yakovlev Yak-130 (Mitten)

4) Guizhou JL-9 Shanying (FTC-2000 Mountain Eagle)

5) Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master

Number 1 and number 2 are supersonic rest are subsonic and in the beginning of your banner it says PAF looking for supersonic trainer. The one I like the most is Yak-130 its a beautiful aircraft.

Better to produce a modified version of the K-8 trainer with swept wings, strengthened airframe and a slightly more powerful for supersonic slight.

Pakistan's T-50 evaluation seems to coincide with the JF-17B development initiation. Probably window shopping for features for their JF-17B wishlist.

IMHO, 1) South Korea can offer state of the art shipyard by Hyundai Heavy Industries at Gwadar port. It will boost economy, and more jobs....
It is necessary to move assets from Karachi to other ports, Gwadar and Ormara.

2) 1500hp tank Engine for AK2 and Haider tank.

3) T-50 Trainer & Light fighter with some kind of TOT or request to build these locally in Pakistan.

4) Join project to build Larger Frigate/Destroyer for Navy

5) Joint development of SAM system:
a) Cheolmae 4-H (150 KM range) interceptor designed to take down ballistic missiles.
b) MR-SAM for the South Korean Multi-Tier Defense System
C) M-SAM missle smilar to Patriot Pac-3

We still haven't improve our relationship with South Korea.

T-50 is basically LM so not sure if it will happen, in fact South Korean wanted to develop attack or mutirole version with aesa radar from Leonardo and it was not authorized

South Korea is just producing it but intellectual property with out LM/USA is not possible
