Well said but what about UN adn peacekeeping missions. And at the end we are sending with a limited role. Shouldn't a muslim force defend and create peace in Syria. I am not saying be a gun for hire rather do peacekeeping missions.

Sorry about Syria it is not our job there are already Iran and Turkey in there they should play a better role we already have two front war at home. sending troops to Saudia was a difficult thing with our situation but to defend just is good thing not beyond that.

Persians know Pak folks are no push overs and have ability to beat them in mind games. They'll show restraint. IMO, it's win-win-win... from all quarters (strong foothold on KSA/GCC, CPEC, anti Indian isolation game, USA factors etc.). I am pretty sure all the relevant folks are on the boards, and Pak is playing the balancing game as usual. I can't rule out the US backing and taking help from Pak once again!!!! No wonder top generals are singing praise like canaries!!!! Please ask for something other than F16s this time for a change!!!!!

Iran was never an issue.. they know that there is only border from where they are safe.. IF remember correctly it was Pakistani President(Asif Ali Zardari) publicly announce that If Iran is attacked, They(iranian) will find us besides them(to not have any 2nd Afgh), and that was on that time when it was expected Iran will be attacked within weeks or two..

Iran cant afford to have us as their enemy.

I dont know why some Pakistani fear about Iran.
Iran has already denied about any involvement with Houthis.

Trump surely will work with us to bring peace in Afghanistan and remove ISIS name from this world.. hope Pakistani Folks talks about trade and investment with Americans instead of Aid, CSF or the legendary F-16

Great decision! We are a nation of 200 million people where more than 20 million Pakistanis have guns in their homes and 6th largest army in the world with nuclear weapons. I dont think We need protection inside the border What we need is to bring peace in whole M.E and stop acting like cowards. We can project power and we should do that. No need to listen to minority who in one side cheerlead for Iran for fighting proxy wars and defame Pakistan whenever news like these props up. Get the f out of Pakistan or keep your mouths shut. hypocrites

It was a VERY BAD decision on part of Gen Raheel Sharif not to indulge 2 years ago---.

That was the perfect time---the insurgency was nascent---the weapons---not a lot---. The Houthis could be talked down by the pakistanis and the issues resolved---.

Now there are more deadlier weapons in the arena---the Houthis have suffered a lots of casualties----hatred is high---chance for peace are low---.

It was a good decision by Raheel not to go 2 years ago now we know what is the war about and select our role like wise. If we went in 2 years ago all the soldier Saudis have lost could have ours and all the civilians Saudia has killed would be blamed on us. this is the perfect time to restore peace and make Saudia and Iran to come on table.
