Pakistan from (and in) the eyes of a Saudi Professor!!

.
All fingers are not equal. Furthermore, two things are different. Different individuals act differently.

Agreed .
We knows majority are good Arabs in Saudi .But there is few cases and it was her opinion.

.
Hey Guys!!
Some of my foreigner (locals here) friends referred me to this article written by a Saudi Professor Tariq A. Al-Maeena in which he has said certain things about Pakistan that my friends wanted me to clarify. So I want to share it with you and want to know your opinion about this article. Please try to keep following questions in your mind while reading the article and commenting about it.
  1. Is he being truthful?
  2. Should brothers treat each other this way?
  3. Does brotherhood and ummah exists at any level after reading this article?
  4. Why a KSAian views us - the Pakistanis as such?
  5. Have our Indian friends been right all along that we are treated as slaves by Arabs?
Click here for the article http://saudigazette.com.sa/article/512628

Please read the article before commenting (hint: I have used a little bit of sarcasm). Otherwise you will risk being turning your self into a sour moron!!
@PakSword @Verve @Arsalan @Zarvan @MastanKhan
Current problems with Pakistan - KSA relations are as follows(of course its my own view):

1) Some Asian(Indian) and Western(America) countries are simply cant bear and tolerate Pak Saudia understanding over some issues, as this gives strength to both the countries.
2) Pakistan and Saudia handle things in different ways. Specially the young crown prince of KSA is taking things in a too childish manner.
3) Some countries in this world want Saudia to become an utter slave state, which Saudis are currently resisting. Wars, if you dont have technology bases in your own country, if you dont have global money flow in your own control, makes you weak. Involving KSA in wars, which made many powers poor, will surely make them weak as well.
4) Weakening Qatar is not good for Saudis as well. We Pakistanis always tried to have good relations with our neighbors, why? and KSA is continuously on the way to screw her neighbors. I think some Indian is making policies of KSA these days.
5) Pakistans stance on this middle east situation is clear; we are against all the wars who will eventually harm Saudia. We know Iran, and we know how to maintain our relations with them. Saudia is our brother, and we will fulfill are requirements of brotherhood.
6) We are here for the unity of ummah not to destroy one for other, and eventually get destroyed.

We love you KSA, but the way you think is not our way of thinking.

Even if it was the reverse (i.e. majority was bad), I would still not ignore such a positive opinion about my country of origin and birth :-)

By the way, I have personally found Arabs to be good people on the whole. It is just difference in culture which creates misunderstandings but fundamentally they have no grudge against us - Pakistanis. Rather, they look at us positively.

To be honest, some of overseas Pakistanis in ME have done disservice to the nation by demonstrating a negative behavior and that we see even inside Pakistan. So South asians also share the blame but every nation is biased so that's also contribute to the negative impression.

Don't you think that some of Indians misbehave or abuse the system and society in Middle East?

.
I want some clarification about why do you have these questions. Everything this guy has said is true, but what has that got to do with brotherhood or ummah? Also these are not just the view of a guy from KSA these are facts ( except the 250% rise in literacy rate )

Pakistan is a great country with huge potential, the only reason that the pace of growth is so slow is because the people at the helm of controls in this country have been incompetent at best and criminals at worst. Pakistan needs people like IK and Asad Umer to captain this ship to prosperity but it will still be a long and bumpy road as the dust of more than 70 yrs of malpractice is entrenched deep in the society now and it will take atleast a generation for things to change.
Nations gt what they deserve..

.
This is what the Arab guy claimed, either he is lying or or lost his marbles, there is no proof available on the internet, European Business Administration is a vague term, no such institute exists.

As I said credible medias don't conduct this kind of stupid surveys.
IQ surveys are conducted by very credible institutes, Universities and media..this is what it is about..
I am also an Arab and share most if not everything written in the article about Pakistan.. it is the view of three quarter of a bottle full..no nation is perfect so I leave that empty quarter to critics, since it is also healthy to see the cons of policies of any country..
As for the literacy rate in Pakistan here is an average of 200% increase map from1972 to 2009..and we are 8 years beyond that.. So the 250% is very credible:

I agree with you. We should appreciate such articles and their authors in both countries but that does not mean we change our principled stance and nor does the Prof. demands as such. His unconditional love for Pakistan should be reciprocated with love and respect but some of PDF members are acting immaturely but I know their motives very well since the same have been spotted appreciating anti-Saudi forces. We Pakistanis as a nation want peace and stability in ME and thus we cannot be party. And current policies of KSA are beyond me. Why all of the sudden it is itching to start a new war in the region which has already been embroiled in war for past 2-2.5 decades (almost my whole life). Matters should be settled through a peaceful dialogue.
KSA shouldn't throw 350 billion like this on buying weapons from USA rather it should invest in R&D. And instead of putting all the eggs in Trump/USA's baskets, they should have used their brains, they could have got far better deals from around the globe in less than half the amount and the rest they could have used in strengthening their economy. It is a long topic... and I don't have the time and motivation to write comprehensively about it since a lot is going on inside Pakistan and we should focus making our own country great while keeping an eye on our surroundings.

Very well said.
My suggestions for both Pakistan and Saudia:

Start translating science in Arabic and Urdu(Like IEEE in Urdu and Arabic or whole Cambridge system in Arabic and Urdu).
Start making basic objects(Parts, Chemicals, materials etc) in our own countries.
Start to form a government system that is based on four pillars: Eduacation guys + Law/enforcement guys + Economy guys + Defense guys. Be it a democrat or technocrat.
Prepare your forces capable of attacking anywhere in the world within minutes.

Rest lies in the hands of Allah.

See the highlighted part:
Most world leaders think that MBS is very mature.. there are some threads in the Middle East section about him you should take a look at..
About Qatar:
What can you do to your own brother, if you find out with undeniable proof that he was backstabbing you, allying with your enemies and sabotaging your efforts to progress.. just because he (or most likely, the people controlling him and his policies) do not like how you think!!!? and it is not only KSA that came with proof, there are at least another half a dozen Arab and Muslim countries that have more evidence about the mischievous policies of Qatar concerning their own states..!

Exactly the point. I have been saying this since ages that "someone" providing proofs to everybody. That "someone" sits somewhere in Israel or may be somewhere in London. We must checkout the foreign penetrations and contamination in our intelligence information system.

What a ridiculous thread. I have no qualms praising really progress and achievement, but making up false achievements and patting each others back over it you are doing a great disservice to your nation by making them believe that you are doing great when the truth is very far from it.

I wish this Saudi Professor had done a bit of research before writing this article, and by research I do not mean copy pasting information from the most viral blog sites that show up in google search.

In the last five years, Pakistan’s literacy rate has grown by 250 percent, the largest increase in any country to date.

So the literacy rate in 2017 in 2.5 times of what it was in 2012? Failing to see that!

Let's see the evidence: Literacy rate in 2012 was 54.9 % , Literacy rate in 2017 is 58%

According to a poll organized by the Institute of European Business Administration, from 125 countries, Pakistanis have been ranked the “fourth most intelligent people” across the globe.

LMAO this seems like a fake institute most probably being run by Axact group of Pakistan

The Cambridge exams of both A and O levels have been topped by Pakistani students and this is a record yet to be broken.

lolwut? What kind of record is this?

The seventh largest pool of scientists and engineers come from, you guessed it, Pakistan.

Yet Pakistan produces very little research papers in peer reviewed journals, says a lot about these scientist and engineers.

The fourth largest broadband Internet system of the world is in Pakistan

Did you mean this? This was back in 2008! and that too it does not mean that Pakistan has the 4th largest internet broadband internet system in of the world or whatever.

KARACHI: Pakistan is ranked fourth in terms of broadband Internet growth in the world, as the subscriber base of broadband Internet has been increasing rapidly with the total base crossing 170,000 in the country.

.
Condition of SAsian workers in Saudi.

Condition of these workers is not good in their respective countries too so I won't blame Saudis.

Our people go there for even petty work like bathing horses too so why expect some royal treatment.

This is the failure or South Asian governance.

Well, both England and Usrael are very active in the Middle East, the latter has been/is and will always look for any Arab vulnerability to sabotage their efforts for progress and advancement, England is the one surgeon who made this implant in the ME and the US is its biggest supporter.. these are facts..
However, apparently it was discovered that only some entities inside Britain and the US are supporting The Usraeli effort of sabotage, while other entities are against it..Qatar was caught playing the Usraeli and its supporters game..and the Arab intelligence agencies were following on this file for more than 20 years now and got their evidence in the last 5 years.. this is why they want to either establish controls on Qatar's policies, Media and finances, or let it go its own way, because Qatar has proven to be a vulnerability to Arab security and stability in general and the GCC in particular, where Qatar operates (read a controlled intelligence operative) as an insider for other (up to no good and belligerent forces) by taking advantage of his membership in this closed and private Club, and thus a heavy liability..
