Precisely, SAM batteries are not sitting ducks. They are protected by anti-missile system or gun. In case of LY-80, It is a system capable of defending itself. HARM fired and LY-80 Missile is capable of intercepting back that HARM.

Indeed! There is a video somewhere i think where the system is engaging a cruise missile. Now we all now cruise missiles are far deadlier as they employ stealth and have far greater range compared to lets say a HARM.
