What's new

Pakistan discusses Su-35, S-400, T-90 MBT purchase with Russia.

guess what india already has 1400 T90 MS tanks and knows in and out of T90 and has installed 1500 BHP engines in all of them with Israeli and french thermal sights and AC & targeting systmes & APC in all of them with latest target aquisition & fire control systems and other classified imaging and other sub systemes making them more leathel than most T90s avilabel in the world (basically MKI model of T90 MBT)

now russia is making this news so india speeds up past of immidiate order of 12 full S400 systems instead of just 4 right now :sarcastic:

rest you can speculate yourself mulla ji :coffee:

What you are trying to prove here by posting that Indian T-90 have Israeli and French Thermal sights and 1500HP engine??

Did you know what kind Thermal & NV systems PA tanks using?? Also we are getting 1500HP engine tech from Ukraine and will built subsystems designed for Turkish MBT Atlay, so India don't have quality advantage over Pakistan in terms of Tanks it only have number advantage which can be negated with effective anti tank tactics using various anti tank weapons Pakistan have.

Also (if purchased or locally built) Pakistani T-90s will be very different beast as it will have very different systems installed in it.

times keep changing so does circumstances and so does your economy and defnce prepairdness and international stature

on top of all indians like pakistanies do not live in past we keep upgrading each passing day rest keep speculation and dreaming no harm in it :sarcastic: :coffee:

go and ask any army or air force personell and ask him weather that flight cieling of a missle changes if the firring alltitude is changed ...?... answer is big no its basic principal of physicas go ask any airforce or missle opreater of army i challenge you ... rest keep dreaming @MastanKhan saheb please teach this kid abot some genral physics :D

One question how your attack helos gonna survive a AESA radar /EO/IR guided missile with 15km range in battle field supported by LY-80E, Radar /EO/IR guided AAAs & MANPADS???

Many Indians are in delusion that it's cake walk in war against Pakistan. If it was that easy your military would have attacked not just bark.

.
had that been such a simple affair more than a dozen nations would hve build there own MANPADS but could not its not that simple buyt keep dreaming point still remain flight cieling does not changes with change in firring altitude go and ask from any perso who has fired a MANPAD in his life :coffee:

point is here we were talking about MANPADS like RBS70 & ANZA which ar heat seeking and not active or apssiive radar guided forget some new gen latest in USAF & ISAF kitty multi seeker head type do some research chaffs and flairs are not the only things rudra or LCH or apache have to blind MANPADs they also have actibe jammers plus ground based backup that will be helping then in case of war then there will be active artilerry barrage against enemy postions backed by weapons locting radars and many Harop & Harpy like hunter killer drones hovering above to search and destroy your radar isntalations and then there will be indian spy sattelites scanning so will be all indian ground and aerostat based radars and of course Phalcon AWACS sacanning and jamming your radars where they could
crow is white for u.and btw americans spent 16 billion on stinger research and also i heard somewhere was that ur def minister was also begging uncle sam for some stingers.
the point here is that kargil tupe situation are very unique.
in a normal plain area u would not worry much about manpad but on a hill 3000 meters it’s something to worry about.
no wonder u resort to m2k after ur jags and migs were capitulated

.
Regarding T-90 I seriously think its just PA doing window shopping and evaluating what features they can improve from studying them. They have extensively evaluated L-139 and T-50, just to know what features the JF-17B needed.

.
The block 3 still be a light fighter, the SU35 is a massive fighter/bomber with long range PESA radar and heavy payload capacity and range. Ideal for deep strikes in enemy territory with more chances of survival. As per news/discussions if handled effectively may challenge next generation fighters, may serve PAF for long time and do not have serviceability/maintenance issues like SU30. Lower level of strings attached to it like F16s.

SU35 is indeed a formidable aircraft.however it doesn't come cheap. We are on our way to build our own 5th gen aircraft, the project Azm, which will be a gen ahead of SU35 and will do these deep strikes roles plus air superiority over enemy airspace.

This is not so much about Su-35, T-90 etc. This is first and foremost about developing a healthy relationship with a country we couldn't sit on the table once upon a time. We have come a very long way and the future signs are promising.

Everything can be acquired once you have a trustworthy relationship with any given nation. The US has exploited Pakistan for decades. We are working hard to change this mentality. Diversification is important. You cannot put all your eggs in one basket. We have learnt that the hard way.

It will take some time to heal the fractures, but we will get there. The first step is in the right direction.

I am all up for procuring s400, a real force multiplier and an area of defence which we desperately needs to plug the gaps. Su35 on other hand is 4.5 Gen aircraft and when we are well on our way to build our own 5th gen aircraft, it doesn't make sense to order su35 now which will be delivered few years down the line and by that time our own 5th gen jet will be in mid-final stages of development. If you know what I mean.

Ok "Old Man" i am very scared now..

Lesson learned = Laser Riding Missiles will be blinded by Chaffs and Flairs = Mind Blown
!
wow what a genius :what: :haha:

what makes you think that you will be able to attck or bring your prime LY-80E SAM batteries clase to border without being detected and blown to peces by indian atrillerry or HAROP or HRAPY type hunter killer droens or LGBs/PGMs after bieng dtected much much earler by indian spy stettlietes or ground or aerostat based based or weapons locating radars ...?

crow is white for u.and btw americans spent 16 billion on stinger research and also i heard somewhere was that ur def minister was also begging uncle sam for some stingers.

do you even know the latest version of Stinger is in indian arsenell and so is Apache E2D and the latest US & isreali SAM/MANPAD/Missile jamming technologies as used on Air Force 1 type airplanes ...?

we use them for defnce use and have developed parelle of those type in house by LRDE & DRDO in house also so dont worry they in one format or the other are on all indian fighter assets then be it LCA or be it LCH or be it Rudra but point is does pakistan have it :azn: :haha:

its not just bout getting Su35 or S400 or T90 ots about mantainence and training and above all a steady supply of spare parts this is where russians make you cry blood tears ... godd luck pakistan:sarcastic:

Overconfidence kills.

Till now Indian military has not shown it and prove to be sane about situation, when they become like you, whole India will know what bloody mistake they have done.

.
India doesn't need more weapons, India has Guru Dutt who would break Pakistan into 100 pieces with his full of knowledge comments. @Basel There is no winning with Pig in the mud, you get exhausted while pig love it.

.
your over confidence that we will never attack you till you have so called "atom bomb" :sarcastic:

my point is does attack means only by weapons ;) :D

look at your nation

look at your people

look at there paranoia and constant obsession of fear and hate and revenge and love for WAR with Hindu india and so called "ghazwa tull hind" thats why they give so much preference to idiots like zaid hamid and saeed azhar mehmood :haha:

now you wasted whole 15 years on so called COLD STRAT DOCTRINE which now is coming out was in fact a TRUCK KI BATTI created by indian establishment for pakistani nation and pakistani establishment alike and looks like it worked 100% as expected :omghaha:

rest keep speculating after taking into account where is pakistan today on all parameteres of a modern devloping welfare nation state and where is india on same scale :coffee:

No one is overconfident here we prepare for large enemy with large resources and good tech, so we do strict scrutiny of our capabilities and fin our weaknesses and strength, that is why after cold start Pakistan developed it's own 2 front war doctrine which is not well known to world, and all purchases are based on requirements of that new doctrine.

Russian SAMs like BUK-M3 & Pansyr (if purchased) will be more important and deadly than S-400 for any battlefield and both earlier systems are offered since 2016 to Pakistan.

To complement AK series PA is look for new tank which few hundred can be inducted rapidly buy off the shelf purchase as HIT is not making AK in large numbers annually.

.
State bank has no forex for balance of payments..Industry and workers who earn this forex with their blood and sweat so army can import duty free toys for their 23 march parades..while a common man is dying to even afford a decent imported vehicle..life in Pakistan is degraded to the maximum..

.
I wonder why the single seat SU 35, it's expensive while pakistan has a nice combination of F 16 and JF 17. Pakistan needs something like SU 32 aka 34, to throw all the other fighters into recycle bin, such as old mirages and Chinese old bombers.
T90 being a light advanced tank, is an awesome option which is suitable for Pakistani terrain.
S 400 is good too. SU 35 is a waste of resources.

.
That's great. I don't know why Pakistan is going for T-90 but Su-35 and S-400 are great options. Hope to see both of them in Pakistan within a few years.

Ww2 says otherwise

China & cia documents says otherwise

Being a 70s nato ally says otherwise
Correction Nehru's idiocy says otherwise. He trod on an established contract and then the Kashmir issue to keep his dynasty alive. So Kudoos to him. Get your facts right though.
So you are saying your Nuclear achievements did not owe any help from the Russians? If you are accepting that and you should then so what if China helped us. However I would say that the Pakistani Nuclear story has a lot of hard work into it. If one could have just done it without much trouble then Libya and Iran would have been Nuclear powers. So no one can just help another become a Nuclear power without indegenous hard work and ingenuity. Dont disregard that effort.

Ahhhh. by the way PAF fanatics. The dream of having SU35 in PAF will remain just that. A DREAM. I love the plane but it is not for us. My 2 paisas worth.

MOSCOW – Pakistan Defence Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan confirmed to Sputnik that Pakistan and Russia may reach an agreement on Islamabad purchasing Russian Su-35 jets "in the next few years," the talks on the issue are in their early stages,Khan told Sputnik.

"Concerning fighter aircraft Su-35: may be in the next few years we will be able to reach that point, we are in the beginning of negotiations now," the minister said answering a corresponding question.

Pakistan was in talks with Moscow on the issue of purchasing air defense systems, adding that Pakistan was interested in such weapons.

"Air defense system is a different kind of weapon we are interested. We are very much interested in a very wide range of the Russian weapons technology. We are in negotiations [on air defense systems] and once we conclude negotiations, we will be able to announce them," Khan said in an interview.

Pakistan is interested in acquiring Russian T-90 tanks as a long-term commitment instead of a single purchase, Pakistani Defense Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan told Sputnik in an interview on Thursday.

"We are interested in tanks T-90 and it is not going to be a one-time purchase but it is going to be a long-term commitment," Khan said.

*Situation in Afghanistan*

Both Islamabad and Moscow are interested in a stable and democratic Afghanistan as it will positively contribute to security in Central Asia, the minister said.

"We respect Afghanistan's sovereignty. Stability in Afghanistan is important for Pakistan to be able to develop its own prosperous future, to access to the Russian market, for example, by land route. Democratic and stable Afghanistan is in deep the interest of both Russia and Pakistan," Khan said.

Pakistan supports Russia 's efforts to bring stability and peace to the region and called on other regional and global powers to jointly devise a plan to end violence and defeat terrorism in Afghanistan, according to the official.

"We are supporting the Russian regional approach to Afghanistan and we hope that not only Russiabut also China, Iran and of course the United States can sit together at the table and devise a way in which we can achieve internal peace and reconciliation within Afghanistan," he added.

The minister also praised a new approach by the Afghan leadership when it comes to ending the prolonged conflict in the country.

"One positive step that has happened recently is a genuine approach by President [Ashraf] Ghani when he had said that he no longer wants to win the war, but to end the conflict. To win the war was militarist American approach but now the Afghan approach is closer to Pakistan's position on the matter. Pakistan's highest priority regarding Afghanistan is to have a peaceful democratic stable neighbor," Khan underlined.

Afghanistan has long been suffering from political, social and security instability due to the activity of the Taliban radical movement and the Daesh* terrorist group. To address this issue, Moscow has hosted a number of conferences to achieve peace in the war-ravaged country.

*Islamabad, Moscow Agreed to Enhance Defense, Intelligence Cooperation*

Islamabad looks forward to expanding defense cooperation with Russia in all areas, including military training, procuring equipment and sharing intelligence, Pakistani Defense Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan told Sputnik in an interview on Thursday.

"In the defense field, we signed a historical unprecedented Pakistan-Russia defense agreement in 2014. As a result, we have been able to conduct joint exercises, Pakistan has purchased Russian helicopters Mi-35 and now we are looking at much wider range of defense cooperation. In terms of training, Pakistani officers are coming to Russia and Russian officers are going to the Pakistani facilities for training. We are also now discussing a wider range of military exercises, we are looking at a wider range of military equipment and intelligence sharing," Khan said on the sidelines of the Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS).

The official commended the current level of defense industry cooperation, noting that in the future Islamabad hopes to expand the variety of military equipment sold by Russia to Pakistan.

"We are looking towards a great future in certain areas, in which Russia has excellent expertise, such as the tanks and air defense systems," Khan noted.

Even though Pakistan and Russiahad differences in the past on the Afghan crisis, the countries have now achieved mutual understanding on regional and international issues, according to the minister.

"Of course we have a history of Afghan war in which we have been on the opposite sides but now as a second decade of the 21st century ends, we will be able to look at world realities with a different eye and I am delighted to say that Pakistan and Russia are largely in agreement on major international issues like Afghanistan, like fighting drug trafficking, situation in the Middle East. We are now looking now at almost all aspects of defense and there is excellent goodwill between our leadership," Khan underlined.

The official went on to say that Islamabad is grateful to Russia for supporting its accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

The SCO is a political, economic and military intergovernmental organization founded by China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russiaand Tajikistan. Uzbekistan joined the SCO in 2001, while India and Pakistan became members in June 2017
Hi my friend don’t mind but I’ll appreciate if you post some credible link also
Beside this even if he agrees to Russia to supply us the latest AL series engine and don’t make
Any objections to Chinese J11 or j16 series that will be quiet a good deal to boost PAF credentials
Your input will be appreciated
Thank you

Highlighted for your ease... Nice way to skirt the original question how is a laser guided system can be blinded by flairs and chaffs? Now back and figure it out.
No need to reply to time wasters, that is is only purpose here.

Don’t think the Indian lobby is dead yet, but that depends on their own actions. In a way its good that India is now headed by an insane posse and not the sharp intellect of the past... they might just irk Russia off enough.
